Hi, Bryan Here….

Brad Pitt is developing a film based on Black’s New York Times Bestseller book ‘IBM and the Holocaust’.  Basically it’s like a ‘Moneyball’ approach to explaining the Holocaust.  Yes, that Holocaust.  ‘IBM and the Holocaust’ is a 2001 book that looks at IBM’s role in advancing the Nazi party and their goals.

Pitt Teams Up with McQueen and Fassbender!!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Nov 1st, 2011

For a while now, Steve McQueen (Shame) and Michael Fassbender (X-Men: First Class) have been making movies together. From 2008’s Hunger, which is now in the Criterion Collection, to the NC-17 rated Shame, they’ve been garnering quite a bit of critical acclaim from the film world. Now, their new project has drawn in another big name: Brad Pitt. He’s another one that if I need to tell you what he’s been in, you need to watch more movies. Or get out from under your rock. Though I’m sure it’s a nice rock.

Film Review: ‘Like a Boss’!!

by Janet White on Jan 10th, 2020

Hello Everyone, Janet W. here…

Never mix friends with money or so the saying goes.  Mia (Tiffany Haddish) and Mel (Rose Byrne) say whatever to that.  Inseparable since school days, surely nothing could go wrong now.  They were well on their way, created a cosmetics line, opened a store, and they had each other.  Only they had one more thing that wasn’t working for them, a crap ton of debt.  Enter their blessing from below, Claire Luna (the venerable Salma Hayek).  Promises of wealth and level up action for their business are all around and that is when the chaos begins in Like a Boss. Once Upon a Time…In Hollywood – Film Review!

by Gumbercules9000 on Jul 26th, 2019

“‘Once Upon a Time…In Hollywood’ is first-rate filmmaking and pure bliss for a movie fan.”

It’s always a special year when Quentin Tarantino releases a new feature film. His ninth movie is called ‘Once Upon a Time…In Hollywood‘ and is perhaps his most ambitious film to date. Not only has Tarantino grown as a filmmaker since 1992’s ‘Reservoir Dogs‘, permanently making Tarantino a household name, but his films have covered different time periods and genres too. Additionally, if you’ve seen Tarantino talk or be interviewed before, you can instantly tell he has a huge passion and love for older films and Hollywood itself. He’s a true fan and a wealth of knowledge about the movie industry and cinema. ‘Once Upon a Time…In Hollywood‘ translates that deep affection directly on screen too as we follow a struggling once-famous actor and his best friend stunt double around Hollywood for a few days. It’s a different breed of Tarantino, while at the same time, having all of the necessary Tarantino traits you come to expect when watching his movies. It’s wonderful to watch everything unfold for the nearly three-hour adventure that is given to us, which left me smiling and talking about it days after. ‘Once Upon a Time…In Hollywood‘ is first-rate filmmaking and pure bliss for a movie fan.

‘Ocean’s 8’ 4K UHD Review!

by Gumbercules9000 on Oct 27th, 2018

At some point recently, Hollywood decided to start remaking movies that came out not too long ago with all-female casts for the sake of just being all-female casts. It never goes over well, at least thus far. The most recent terrible remake was ‘Ocean’s 8‘, a remake of the ‘Ocean‘ trilogy that starred George Clooney, Brad Pitt, and Matt Damon amongst others.

Film Review: ‘Ahockalypse’!

by Gumbercules9000 on Aug 14th, 2018

The past decade and a half, the undead have risen in all forms of entertainment. We’ve seen zombies on the big screen with big stars like Brad Pitt, we’ve seen the undead walk on prime time television and win awards, along with playing zombies in video games, and even in our kid-friendly cartoons. Zombies are the main-stay nowadays and like superhero movies, they’ve completely oversaturated the movie market, where it becomes tiresome to watch yet another zombie movie. We’ve seen Nazi zombies, Shakespeare zombies, marijuana zombies, romantic comedy zombies, and even zombie beavers. What’s next? I’ll tell you what’s next, it’s a movie called ‘AHOCKALYPSE‘ and is a hockey sports movie with zombies that was made in Minnesota.

Upgrade is an excellent 90 minute Black Mirror episode. If you enjoy action movies or anything sci-fi I suggest checking out this quiet little movie before it leaves theaters. The basic plot is in the near future a guy has his spine severed when he and his wife get attacked by a group of men. After becoming a quadriplegic, he undergoes an experimental procedure that puts an AI chip in his spine. This chip gives him some superhuman abilities and senses which he uses to hunt down his wife’s killers.

Hey guys, Jana here,

Quentin Tarantino has decided that, after 2012’s ‘Django Unchained‘, he kinda likes working with Leonardo DiCaprio and enjoyed it so much that he’s signed the Oscar winner to his latest film. This makes number nine for Tarantino, and has been given an August 9, 2019 opening date under Sony.

We’ve been hearing for a while that there will be a full female film called ‘Ocean’s 8‘, which will coincide with the ‘Ocean’s 11‘ movies. 4K UHD Review: ‘Kick-Ass’!

by Gumbercules9000 on Oct 2nd, 2017

Back in 2008, Mark Millar and John Romita Jr. created a new comic book that was kick-ass, that they in fact named it ‘Kick-Ass‘. It was basically Spider-Man if Spider-Man had no superpowers and was had a hardcore R rating. The amount of creative energy, violence, comedy, and character development that went into the comic was magical as it was entertaining and wonderful. Millar just had a way with words and story plot that made this comic book called ‘Kick-Ass‘ solid gold. It was to nobody’s surprise that only two years later, we got a feature film directed by Matthew Vaughn (Layer Cake, X-Men: First Class, Kingsman) and produced by Brad Pitt, that ignited a new breed of R rated superhero films.
