Hey guys, Jana here,

Quentin Tarantino brings so many things to mind, first and foremost, a kick-ass movie with top notch acting. Such is what I hope continues for the director as he is said to be tackling his first true-crime project on the Manson Family murders.

QT will pull his usual roles of writer and director of the unnamed project. The Weinsteins are on board, as well, presumably in their typical roles are producers or executive producers. So far, those are all the facts that are certain about the project.

Tarantino is courting top name actors to star and studios to co-finance. Some of the names that have been bandied about by an unknown source are Brad Pitt and Jennifer Lawrence. He also met with Margot Robbie for the role of Sharon Tate. While there are no concrete details on the script, one of the stories to be told will center on Tate, the wife of Roman Polanski, who was murdered in 1969 by the Manson family. Manson apparently didn’t get the 411 that record producer Terry Melcher (son of Doris Day) had vacated his Benedict Canyon home, and Polanski was not in residence when Manson sent his followers to exact revenge on his passing on the infamous cult-leader’s music. The eight-months pregnant Tate and four others were the victims of the “family’s” hideous actions.

No matter what portions of the Manson family’s actions are covered, Tarantino will give it his personal touch that will elevate the project to “cult-status” for a whole different reason than the subject-matter being Manson.
