Due to Snowmageddon, WWE had no choice but to cancel the RAW live event just 24 hours after one of the most controversial Royal Rumble pay per views in recent memory. Four times a year,  the NXT Superstars are given the opportunity to showcase their talents live, and last night, they gave everything they had to entertain the fans. The pre show started with sad news as NXT Superstar, Corey Graves, announced his retirement from in ring competition. His reasons being medically based. Did that mean we would no longer see him, hell no, he also announced that he would be debuting that night as an NXT commentator! The CEO of WWE, Vince McMahon announced to investors and the WWE Universe this morning some new plans and pricing for their 24/7 network. When the network debuted, I purchased it on day one. As a long time WWE fan, it was such a wonderful thing to have a channel devoted to everything WWE. I could watch any pay per view from WWF, WWE, WCW, and ECW since the 70s. WWE: An Evening Spent Inside ‘Hell in a Cell’ 2014!!

Hi everyone, Bryan Here….

The superstars were set. The lights and fireworks were bright and loud. And a giant sixteen-ton cage of steel was sharp, fierce, and ready for the carnage that was to take place inside. WWE’sHell in a Cell‘ 2014 (the sixth event of this caliber, but 30 matches total) was a force to be reckoned with. Blood was shed, title belts were on the line, chairs were slammed, tables were broken, and special appearances were made to a sold out crowd in Dallas, Texas at the American Airlines Center. A famous Beatle put it simply, “The Long and Winding Road“, which is a great lyric that could be used to describe the past several months of WWE.

Ambrose had been off for a month after Seth Rollins and Corporate Kane took him out on an episode of Monday Night Raw. Rollins was scheduled to face Roman Reigns on Sunday, but Reigns underwent emergency surgery over the weekend and will be out for several months. While Rollins was gloating in the ring after demanding that the ref declare him the winner via forfeit, Ambrose arrived (via taxi cab; what timing!) and attacked Rollins.

Move over Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and move over John Cena, because WWE superstar Dean Ambrose (real name Jonathan Good) has signed a deal to star in an upcoming action movie called ‘Lockdown‘. This is the 2nd film out of a series of six that WWE Studios and Lionsgate will co-produce together. Stephen Reynolds will direct the film, which production starts later this month.

The Rock is the new WWE Champion, and this guy and I are pissed off about it – CLICK HERE TO SEE HOW PISSED OFF WE ARE!!

Yes, The Rock was my favorite WWE performer in wrestling’s heyday at the turn of the millennium. But in 2003, Dwayne Johnson left WWE to become the thinking man’s Vin Diesel. He used his success as a WWE Superstar to springboard into movies, and that’s great. But CM Punk doesn’t want to springboard anywhere. CM Punk wouldn’t trade the WWE Championship for a featured role in the Fast and Furious franchise, and no one looks at CM Punk and thinks “Oh yeah, the strong man’s William H. Macy.”

Film Review: ‘Skyscraper’!

by Gumbercules9000 on Jul 12th, 2018

Summer blockbusters have been a staple for all of us for many years in the movie theater. We can expect, a ton of action, one-liners, witty actors, explosions, feel good endings, and sometimes monsters, zombies, aliens, robots, or a combination of all four. These big summer blockbusters usually lack an award winning story or break-through performances, but it makes up for that in sheer entertainment and high stakes. When you bring in a former charismatic WWE Champion with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson to play the “every character from our favorite 80s-90s action movies, you’re gonna get something wild, fun, and nothing short of spectacular, which is why I’m hear to say that ‘Skyscraper‘ is the big budget summer blockbuster you’ve always wanted.

Wrestlemania 34 is less than 6 months away with Survivor Series and Royal Rumble just around the corner. I do believe that the goal is to have Brock Lesnar in the main event at Wrestlemania 34 with the title in hand. I also believe he aims to lose that title on April 8, 2018 as well. Just not to the usual suspects (Reigns, Strowman, Joe).

Favorite Movie Scene of the Day #9!

by Gumbercules9000 on Jul 6th, 2017

Hi everyone, Bryan here….

One of my favorite pastimes is singing out loud while driving or riding in the car with someone. I imagine most of us at one point or another have belted out our favorite tunes by ourselves or with our friends in the car, no matter how short a trip. There’s just something fun about singing along with our favorite musicians at the top of our lungs. Perhaps the best scene dedicated to singing in the car with your friends was conceived by Penelope Spheeris who gave us the iconic and amazing documentaries The Decline of Western Civilization that took an in depth and personal look at the punk rock scene. If you haven’t seen these films, I highly suggest you do immediately.

The first ‘Marine‘ film came out eleven years ago in 2006 and starred John Cena as a marine who gives the Attitude Adjustment to terrorists. Solid gold entertainment, Jerry. Solid gold. That first film cost $15 million, but only made $22 million at the box office. I guess that was enough to have WWE Studios create a franchise, which now we are on Part 5 with Mike ‘The Miz‘ as Cena’s replacement.

This 29th Royal Rumble took place in San Antonio, Texas at the Alamodome and had over 50,000 people in attendance. Before the Rumble match itself, there were several championship matches with interesting outcomes, which should tell the tale of what’s to come at Wrestlemania 33 in April. This is our inaugural episode our new brand of podcast called ‘Wrestling is Everything is Wrestling‘ or WEW for short, which is part of the Boomstick Comics brand on the Multi-Media Men Podcast label. That was a mouth full. Tom Nix and Bryan Kluger, get in the ring and discuss every single match at ‘Backlash 2016‘. It literally broke Tom, where he went into a fit of rage, burned down his house, and passed out. He was part of the #FinalDeletion. Needless to say, it was insanity.  This was such a fun show and we hope you enjoy! All we can say is that ‘The Miz‘ is still the reigning champion of the Intercontinental Belt!

Chris Benoit Biopic In the Works!

by Gumbercules9000 on Sep 8th, 2016

Hi everyone, Bryan here….

chris-benoit-imageevent

In news I thought I’d never report on, Hollywood is making a Chris Benoit biopic with Lexi Alexander (Green Street Hooligans, Punisher: War Zone) in the director’s chair. if you’re unfamiliar with the name Chris Benoit, I’ll give you a little background. Chris Benoit is a taboo subject in the WWE and has been for an umber of years. Yes, the WWE as in World Wrestling Entertainment, where Chris Benoit was one of the best wrestlers and superstars the company has ever seen. He held the champion titles a number of times and was one of the best in the business in his career. His nickname was the Rabid Wolverine and was called Toothless Aggression, since he was missing a tooth.

Well, let me back-track on that one second. Mike Purtill was not on this podcast, because he was on assignment, attending The Battle of Los Angeles with Pro-Wrestling Guerrilla. Instead, we had a very special guest join us from Austin, TX, named Tyler Mager, who is not only a big wrestling fan, but works for FloSports, which is a cool company that brings you the sports you wouldn’t necessarily see on television from around the world.  We discuss Kevin Owens becoming the Universal WWE Champion, Triple H’s return, The Miz taking on Dolph Ziggler, and much much more.  This was such a fun show and we hope you enjoy!

Tom N., here…

Cp79qZrVUAEaZY4

Corpus Christi, Texas. Latin for the Body of Christ. What a weird place for the first sighting of The Demon King on WWE TV. And yet, there he was. Ancient script was scrawled over his ribs, abs and legs, all leading to a gaping maw in the center of his chest, tongue lashing about, waiting to devour any and all of his opponents whole. The Body of Christ, indeed.  Read the rest of this entry »
