Joel Edgerton Signs On For ‘It Comes At Night’!!!

by Red Zeppelbon on Jun 10th, 2016

Hey guys, Jana here,

joel-edgerton

If you’ve seen ‘The Gift‘, then it’s likely this actor made you feel a little uncomfortable about his intentions, of course I’m talking about Joel Edgerton. He’s a renaissance man, he wrote and directed the thriller, as well. It seems wherever you look the last few years, Edgerton has been there, from ‘Black Mass‘, to ‘The Great Gatsby‘ to ‘Loving‘ which will debut in November of this year, according to Deadline.

If you’re a fan of movies that are perfect for the whole family and/or grew up loving the literary series ‘The Boxcar Children‘, this is your day! The powers-that-be from Shout! Factory and Legacy Classics have formed a long-term partnership to create family movies that have their roots in classic and contemporary children’s book series. The first project will be, you guessed it, ‘The Boxcar Children‘ and the animated feature will be released in time to enjoy the 75th anniversary celebration in 2017.

Film Review: ‘Krisha’!

by Gumbercules9000 on Mar 25th, 2016

Hi everyone, Bryan Here….

13FILMFAMILY-master675

This is perhaps one of the most fascinating and yet unnerving films that takes place during Thanksgiving. It is as original as it is haunting. Trey Edward Shults is a name you will come to know and remember after seeing this first feature film of his titled, ‘Krisha‘, which hooks you in from the opening moments until the final frame of the film. It’s no wonder that this Texas-shot filmed won awards at the iconic SXSW film festival.

Film Review: ‘Miracles from Heaven’!!

by Janet White on Mar 16th, 2016

Hello Everyone, Janet W. here…

Miracles from Heaven - Family

Miracles from Heaven opens in a beautiful richly colored forest and Christie Beam defining a miracle, an occurrence that “cannot be explained by natural or scientific laws.” Cut to a nice size farm and the interior of a rolling tire as a little girl is giggling and could there be a sweeter beginning. The Beam family has three girls: Abigail (Brighton Sharbino), Annabelle (Kylie Rogers), and Adelynn (Courtney Fansler) and two loving parents Christy (Jennifer Garner) and Kevin (Martin Henderson). Tragedy mysteriously strikes the middle child and thus begins the trial of this family’s strength, love, and faith.  Read the rest of this entry »

Hey guys, Jana here,

Pee-wee-Netflix

Netflix is doing a fantastic job for giving new life to some of my favorite shows I watched as a kid, ‘Fuller House‘, ‘Richie Rich‘, ‘Gilmore Girls‘ and I can now add Pee-Wee to that list. Yup, it’s true, ‘Pee-Wee’s Big Holiday‘ has been in the works and now we can announce that the premier is set for March 18.

Best Movies of 2015, According To Jana

by Red Zeppelbon on Dec 30th, 2015

Hey guys, Jana here,

PicMonkey Collage

Another year has come and gone and brought with it about a billion movies, some were total crap and a waste of time, but others…oh they were worth every bit of time I spent. Pre-movie hype, post-movie discussion, and the random hours I spent thinking about it in the shower or sitting at a stop-light. Having said that, this is my list of movies that 2015 blessed us with, and maybe a few the year cursed us with.

Hi everyone, Bryan Here….

wwe-tlc

TLC. Tender, loving, Care. That’s not the case when we’re talking about WWE by any stretch of the means. TLC in the WWE universe means Tables, ladders, chairs, all of which are used to take down each other in the ring. Some of the most memorable matches in WWE history have been TLC matches with WWE superstars sacrificing life and limb, falling 50 feet in the air into the hard concrete or a folding table, only to be hit by a steel chair or a steel ladder. TLC matches basically mean that there are no rules. All is “legal”, even the kitchen sink, title belt, and even a trombone in some cases.

Film Review: ‘The Peanuts Movie’!

by Gumbercules9000 on Nov 5th, 2015

Hi everyone, Bryan Here…

la-et-mn-peanuts-schulz-family-20150421

It’s been 35 years since we last saw Charlie Brown and his friends grace screens with a new film, but in this era of reboots and bringing vintage and retro projects back to the limelight, 20th Century Fox has brought back the Peanuts in a big way. How big? A $100 million dollar CGI ‘Peanuts Movie‘, that’s how big. With director Steve Martino (‘Ice Age‘) and Charles Schulz’s kids Craig and Bryan Schulz writing and producing the film, this new look at ‘The Peanuts Movie‘ is quite satisfying for kids and adults alike.

Hey guys, Jana here,

ROOM_Poster

Emma Donoghue wrote what has become a sensational multi-award winner in ‘ROOM‘, then she wrote a screenplay and worked with director Lenny Abrahamson to bring the final product to the big screen. ‘ROOM‘ is incredibly moving, emotional in ways I didn’t really anticipate with an edge-of-your-seat thriller sensation as well.

Hey guys, Jana here,

TopGun1

My breath caught in my chest until I finished reading the release, but it seems there is a ‘Top Gun‘ sequel in the works! Not hoping or wishing for it to exist, this IS my final answer and I’ll take sequels for 600, Alex, real life Skydance CEO David Ellison confirmed it. I think it’s a pretty solid source and am beginning to feel the need, the need for…a new tagline.

Film Review: ‘The Vatican Tapes’!

by Gumbercules9000 on Jun 19th, 2015

Paul N., Here…

maxresdefault

It is easy to take a film or genre that has met with success and copy the ever-loving crap out of it. In fact, Hollywood has been doing just that for years. You can’t tell me that you haven’t noticed the barrage of sequels, reboots, and remakes that have saturated the market over the last several decades! It’s much more difficult (also costly) to create something brand new and refreshing. The Vatican Tapes is another in a long line of exorcism films hoping to cash in on the success of The Exorcist and the like.
