A few days ago, Jason Bateman announced on Twitter that he had signed a deal for the long awaited 5th season of Arrested Development on Netflix. Today, it’s announced that the entire cast and crew have signed on to come back to reprise their roles in one of the funniest television shows to ever grace the small screen. Michael Cera, Jeffrey Tambor, Jessica Walter, Will Arnett, Tony Hale, Portia de Rossi, David Cross and Alia Shawkat, and Bateman will be coming back, along with show creator Mitch Hurwitz. Netflix doesn’t have an exact date yet, but it will premiere sometime in 2018.

Hey guys, Jana here,

Arrested Development‘ has legions of fans that are still jonesing for their next hit of Bluth blood. It sounds like Netflix wants to deliver on that stat! At least that’s what we can glean from the statements made by Ted Sarandos, the chief content officer of Netflix. In an interview with USA Today, he stated that he’s positive about another season. It’s “just a matter of when”, he said.

It’s almost time for Pop-Pop to get a treat. Here is the first trailer for the reborn ‘Arrested Development‘, which will debut on Netflix on Sunday May 26th. All 15 all-new episodes will be available that day for our enjoyment. Tons of familiar faces, music, and vehicles all make appearances in this trailer.  I cannot wait till the 26th.  I only hope this series return is as great as it was several years ago.

Hi, Bryan Here….

Don’t fret folks.  Nothing to worry about, at least for now.  ‘Arrested Development‘ as currently paused production to allow series creator Mitch Hurwitz to review footage that has already been filmed and add new scenes.  You see, Netflix is so excited about having this tv series, that they have just ordered more episodes for the 4th season.

Hi, Bryan Here….

We have been wanting it and begging for it for a long time.  (That sounds something like Tobias would say.)  And we already know that Netflix has ordered ten new episodes of ‘Arrested Development’ for some time now.  We also have heard talks about a theatrical film as well.  Meanwhile, all we here is that it’s happening.

Hi Bryan Here….

One of our favorite shows here at Boomstick to write about is ‘Arrested Development’.  So over the past year or so we have heard so many stories on a new season or a feature film.  Then a little while back, Netflix made a deal to air a completely new season of ‘Arrested Development’.  Not much has been said or really known about the series.   Still to this day, there is not much known about it, but co-exec producer Dean Lorey let a few details slip out today.  All good news.

HI Bryan Here……

We reported a few weeks ago that Arrested Development would begin a new season after a few year hiatus.  Several networks including Netflix were trying to get the rights to hit comedy series.  Will it looks like Netflix has won that battle.  Surprising move, but I think it will do very very well on Netflix.  But over the past few months Netflix has lost almost 1 million subscribers due to their hefty price increase in return for doing absolutely nothing to improve the service.  I was one of those subscribers who cancelled, but fuck….now I have to reinstate my account.  I just hope Netflix distributes their original series in physical form.  If they don’t I will be super pissed.  Read the press release below.

Hi Bryan Here….

“Arrested Development” is back. Really.

The cult classic television comedy about the travails of the rich, zany Bluth family, cancelled in 2006 after three seasons, will produce nine to ten new episodes and a movie, it was announced at The New Yorker Festival on Sunday.

Toy Story 4 – Film Review!

by Gumbercules9000 on Jun 20th, 2019

The film that started it all was Toy Story. Pixar became a household name in 1995 with the release of their first feature film and changed the way animated movies were made and told. Pixar has since become a box office cash cow almost every year with each animated release. Their sequels even do well and dare I say some are even better than their predecessor, including Toy Story 2 and the incredible Toy Story 3, which looked to come to a conclusion in the Toy universe. It was a wide range of emotion, both happy and truly emotional on how the filmmakers ended Toy Story 3. It was like the perfect ending. Well of course, Pixar and Hollywood are a business and money talks. Since that’s the case, we now have Toy Story 4, which does nothing new and makes every thing worse in their own little universe. This is a blatant unnecessary sequel, but only succeeds on the tails of its already lovable characters and their superb voice actors.

Film Review: ‘Never Goin’ Back’!!

by Janet White on Aug 10th, 2018

Hello Everyone, Janet W. here…

A friend is there through thick and thin. Right there, to draw a penis on your face while you are fast asleep. That is the opening scene of the hilarious adventures of Angela (Maia Mitchell) and Jessie (Camila Morrone) two young waitresses trying to make a way. Never Goin’ Back is based on the true story of its creator and director, Augustine Frizzell. I had the privilege of interviewing Frizzell (more on that awesome experience later), but first here are some reasons to watch this arduous girl power film. Angela and Jessie are high school dropouts that share a house with Jessie’s special in the head brother, Dustin (Joel Allen). On the eve of Jessie’s 17th birthday, Angela comes up with the perfect gift for her dearest friend. The gift sets into motion a trail of calamitous events, drugs, innuendos, and literally a holy crap moment.

Ron Howard Shoots Second on Star Wars Han Solo Film!

by Gumbercules9000 on Jun 22nd, 2017

Hi everyone, Bryan here….

960

It’s official now. Ron Howard has taken over directing duties on the upcoming Star Wars untitled Han Solo spinoff movie. Yesterday, we got the unfortunate news that Phil Lord and Chris Miller were fired after creative differences with the studio heads, mainly Kathleen Kennedy and Lawrence Kasdan on the tone of the film. Lord and Miller (The LEGO Movie, 21 Jump Street) spent almost five months making this Han Solo film, but again, were fired for having a different style than what the studio was expecting. It sent fans in an uproar for sure and for good reason. It’s ultra rare that studios will fire directors this late in the game.
