Hey guys, Jana here,

death-wish-poster1

Eli Roth is an amazing director that’s generally attached to high profile horror flicks like ‘Hostel‘ and ‘The Green Inferno‘. He’s changing up his MO and has signed on to helm a remake of one of the greatest action flicks of 1974 for MGM and Paramount – ‘Death Wish‘.

Hey guys, Jana here,

Bruce_Willis

Broadway and Hollywood have shared the same actors since the beginning of film, it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise when a big screen actor makes the transition to the Great White Way, but on occasion, it is when it’s an actor I never really considered for that format, tonight’s shocker comes in the form of Bruce Willis.

Bruce Willis set to star in ‘Vice’!!!

by Red Zeppelbon on Jan 23rd, 2014

Jana B. here,

Bruce Willis in GI Joe 2

Bruce Willis is looking like a safer bet for casting than Sylvester Stallone or Arnold Schwarzenegger are these days. News of a new venture from the Lone Survivor producer of Emmett/Furla/Oasis Films is up to produce and finance ‘Vice‘. The story of a city in which humans can enact their most perverse fantasies onto androids. One becomes all Sonny-self-aware, ala ‘I, Robot‘, bent on shutting down the system.

Bruce Willis Signs On With ‘The Prince’!!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Sep 9th, 2013

Hi, Bryan Here…..

Bruce Willis in GI Joe 2

Bruce Willis isn’t giving up the action films yet. He is set to star in an action-thriller called ‘The Prince‘, which will be produced and financed by Emmett/Furla films. Get this though, the budget is only $15 million dollars. An action film, starring Bruce Willis for only $15 million? That’s crazy, considering what Willis did a few weeks ago.

Bruce Willis Confirms a 6th ‘Die Hard’!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Feb 7th, 2013

Hi, Bryan Here….

die-hard

Bruce Willis was on some talk show today promoting his upcoming 5th installment of ‘Die Hard‘, titled ‘A Good Day To Die Hard‘, where he was asked if there will be a 6th ‘Die Hard‘ film. Willis smiled and simply said, ‘YES’. I guess everybody involved with the 5th movie knows that it will be successful already.  I can’t wait to see what the 6th one is called. Maybe ‘Die Hardest: Innnnnnn Spaaaaaaace’.  I can only hope.

Hi Bryan Here…..

Paramount is currently negotiating with Bruce Willis for him to play Jon Colton, the original G.I. Joe.  Paramount has been eyeing Willis for a while now to play this part.  People have said they have others in mind, but Paramount is putting all their eggs in one basket in hopes to get Willis for this role.   If  Willis and Paramount come to an agreement, then most likely he will do this role before the next ‘Die Hard’ film.  Plus Paramount is looking to announce a director soon.

‘Glass’ – Blu-ray Review!

by Gumbercules9000 on Apr 30th, 2019

Finally, we got the conclusion to M. Night Shyamalan’s superhero opus with Glass, which was the third film in his amazing trilogy that was preceded by Unbreakable and Split. This new film brings back pretty much every single character from each film for the ultimate showdown and twist and Shyamalan did it perfectly. The 1080p HD video is wonderful and the killer Dolby Atmos track is something special. There is a ton of bonus features, but zero commentary tracks. This is a MUST-OWN Blu-ray!

The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part: Film Review!

by Gumbercules9000 on Feb 7th, 2019

Inclusiveness has become popular and profitable for both retailers and manufactures in the last few years. Our products, hobbies and now even movies are less gender specific – thanks to a more broad-minded culture. In ‘Lego Movie 2: The Second Part,’ the latest addition to build on the LEGO universe, we’re introduced to this growing ideal through a spectrum of sparkly new toys. If audiences can look past the glitter bombs of goofiness and that shamelessly uninspired title, admirable lessons can be found in the importance of imagination, as well as in the relationships between friends and siblings.

‘Glass’ – Film Review!

by Gumbercules9000 on Jan 16th, 2019

I genuinely loved every single second of M. Night Shyamalan’s film ‘Glass’. It was the perfect end to a trilogy he started almost 20 years ago with ‘Unbreakable’. Since ‘Unbreakable’ debuted some 19 years ago, we have had a giant influx of superhero films with ‘X-Men’ films, the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, and now the DC Comics franchise of films. I would like to say that this whole comic book craze mostly started with Shyamalan’s ‘Unbreakable’, which was his followup film to his breakout hit ‘The Sixth Sense’. Since then, we’ve come to learn and expect a certain level filmmaking and performances from superhero movies, mostly due to the phenomenal structure and execution of all the Marvel movies. There’s definitely a pattern there and it sticks the landing each and every time.

Film Review: ‘Death Wish’ (2018)!

by Gumbercules9000 on Mar 1st, 2018

Filmmaker Eli Roth is passionate about the horror and thriller genre since he was young. His big debut film was Cabin Fever, and then went on to the successful hyper-violent ‘Hostile’ film series. More recently, he made ‘Green Inferno‘, which was similar to ‘Cannibal Holocaust‘. Needless to say, Roth isn’t subtle in his filmmaking, as he’s shown close up gore and torture on screen with an over-the-top style. When it was announced that Roth was sitting in the director’s chair for a remake of 1974’s classic film ‘Death Wish‘, that replaces Charles Bronson with Bruce Willis, I was excitedly intrigued to see his take on this iconic film. With writer Joe Carnahan (The Grey, Narc, Smokin’ Aces) penning the script, this updated version of ‘Death Wish‘ is quite toned down for Eli Roth’s resume, which isn’t a bad thing.

Hey guys, Jana here,

Lionsgate is prepping the action-packed thriller ‘Acts of Violence‘ for distribution onto Blu-ray, Digital HD, and DVD available on March 27. The high-octane flick stars Bruce Willis (‘Die Hard‘ franchise), Ashton Holmes (‘A History of Violence‘), Shawn Ashmore (‘X-Men 2‘, and TV’s ‘The Following‘), and Cole Hauser (‘2 Fast 2 Furious‘). Hauser will forever be Benny in my mind from 1993’s ‘Dazed and ConfusedSophia Bush (‘John Tucker Must Die‘), and Mike Epps (‘Resident Evil:Extinction‘). Under the direction of Brett Donowho (‘Salvation‘)

Eli Roth (The Bear Jew and director of ‘Cabin Fever‘) has remade the 1974 violent revenge film ‘Death Wish‘. Instead of Charles Bronson, we now have Bruce Willis. This film was originally slated to release in theaters over the Thanksgiving holiday of last year, but the studio decided to push it now to March 2, 2018. The guy behind ‘Narc‘, ‘Smoking Aces‘, and ‘The Grey‘ (Joe Carnahan) has written the screenplay too. I’m sure this movie will be fun with some hardcore carnage and one-liners, or at least – let’s hope. Below is a ton of info about the film and of course the trailer.

Blu-ray Review: ‘First Kill’!

by Gumbercules9000 on Sep 3rd, 2017

THE FILM

In addition to Bruce Willis starring in a ton of mega-budget action films over the years, Willis has also been starring in direct-to-video movies that many of you have never heard of. Three of these films have been directed by a guy named Steven C. Miller, who is in line to direct the sequel to Sylvester Stallone’s Escape Plan. Anywho, this film is called ‘First Kill‘ and pits Bruce Willis as the bad guy here, which is something we don’t often see play out in other films. If that comes as spoiler to you, don’t let it, because Miller has a difficult time in playing the con game with his audience.

The Death Wish Remake has a trailer!

by Gumbercules9000 on Aug 3rd, 2017

Hi everyone, Bryan here….

The Death Wish remake trailer is here and looks like a lot of fun. Based off of Brian Garfield’s novel and remade from a 1974 film that starred Charles Bronson, which led to a couple of sequels, this reboot of the ultra-violent movie franchise stars Bruce Willis in his most monotone acting role yet with Eli Roth (The Bear Jew) behind the camera and Joe Carnahan on screenplay. Vincent D’Onofrio, Elisabeth Shue, Camila Morrone, Dean Norris and Kimberly Elise also star in the film.
