Nicole Kidman’s production company, Blossom Films, has secured film rights to an Off-Broadway drama. It gets weird when you know it’s subject matter is vampires and the title is ‘Cuddles‘. Say what?!

Hey guys, Jana here,

Netflix’sBlack Mirror‘ debuted way back in 2011. A more innocent time because we didn’t have deep, lurking fears about technology and how it could do anything but improve our daily life. Then came Charlie Brooker and the anthology series that has forced me, at least, to cover all the cameras on my devices with tape or sticky tack. Coming back for it’s fourth season, we’ve got a little, and I do mean little, information on the next six episodes.

Hey guys, Jana here,

the-peaky-blinders

I love British royalty, British comedy and British crime dramas, as far as the last category goes, there’s been a trailer released for one of the most exciting series on Netflix and it’s getting ready to air it’s 3rd season – ‘Peaky Blinders‘. If you’re unaware of this show, it’s OK, we’ve all been in the dark before, but step into the light and binge watch the first 2 seasons so you understand why this is so frakkin’ exciting, I’ll wait. So I won’t wait because that’s a voyage to awesome and I want everyone else to see this trailer, so catch up with this after! May 31st is the big day for fans in the US, all six episodes of the tertiary season will be available.

‘Green Room’ Blu-ray Announced and Detailed!

by Gumbercules9000 on May 3rd, 2016

Hi everyone, Bryan Here….

91LSukBM25L._SL1500_

Green Room‘ was my favorite film from 2015’s ‘Fantastic Fest‘. You don’t get much better than Patrick Stewart as a bad neo-nazi, trying to kill a punk rock band. Not only that, you have the ‘Blue Ruin‘ guys Jeremy Saulnier and Macon Blair on top of this film as well. It’s in theaters now, and I highly recommend you go and see it. Lionsgate has just announced the Blu-ray too, which will release on July 12th with some cool extras. Below is the information.

Film Review: ‘Green Room’!

by Gumbercules9000 on Sep 30th, 2015

Jay S., Here…

green-room-movie

As a hobby musician, I’ve played a few sketchy venues.  I’ve had occasions where I had to worry about whether or not I would be paid, and I’ve even had a couple of times where my physical safety held the forefront of my thoughts.  In his latest triumph, “Green Room,” writer-director Jeremy Saulnier (‘Blue Ruin‘) takes ahold of those themes and runs screaming into the woods, dodging bullets, machetes, and outpacing the foaming jowls of kill-hounds.  During the Q&A at Austin’s Fantastic Fest, Mr. Saulnier told the audience about, as a teen, attending Punk-Rock shows and being perplexed and off-put at having to share the event with skinheads and neo-Nazis.  This experience he credited as being the seed that eventually led to the screenplay for his thrilling movie, “Green Room.”

Vice Squad – Blu-ray Review!

by Gumbercules9000 on Jul 25th, 2019

So a pimp, a prostitute, and a police detective walk into a bar. It sounds like the start of a bad joke or what could be a really good time with names like Princess and Ramrod, but in the case of 1982’s action film Vice Squad, that’s not always the case. In fact, this is a super sexualized crime thriller with some hardcore violence and one rough bad guy. This movie is the culmination of the late 70s and early 80s that brought together a ton of top-tier talent, which is funny because this movie is so over-the-top violent, that you can’t believe it was ever made and released. Gary Sherman directed this pic, who previously just came off Dead and Buried and went onto make Poltergeist III. He was joined by producing partner Robert Rehme (former president of Avco Pictures who helped make a ton of John Carpenter movies, including The Fog and Escape From New York). Also collaborating with this duo was cinematographer John Alcott, who had previously worked on four of Stanley Kubrick’s best films, including 2001: A Spacy Oddessy, Barry Lyndon, The Shining, and A Clockwork Orange. Rounding out this stellar crew of talent is composer Joe Renzetti (Child’s Play). While the story may be your standard grindhouse B-movie affair, the visual style, camera angles, and score are out of this world.

Hi everyone, Bryan here….

The most popular and well-known man in the world was and maybe still is Michael Jackson. He had fans all over the world and inspired not only the common folk, but many great musicians over the past 30 years years. Michael Jackson won tons of awards for his music, produced and created some of the best songs ever made, delivered the best music videos, and started a big charity called Heal the World. His life was in the tabloids constantly with hideous scum people making up stories that forced him to be a recluse for most of his life. He was just a man who became a father to three kids and when he was pushing 50 years old, he was more or less forced to perform 50 concerts as a way to make ends meet and provide for his family. Much has been said over the many years about Michael Jackson.

Hey guys, Jana here,

doctor-zhivago

Dr. Zhivago‘ is one of the bedrock’s of a well-rounded film education, based on the novel of the same name written by Russian author Boris Pasternak in 1958. Bruce Willis set to star in ‘Vice’!!!

by Red Zeppelbon on Jan 23rd, 2014

Jana B. here,

Bruce Willis in GI Joe 2

Bruce Willis is looking like a safer bet for casting than Sylvester Stallone or Arnold Schwarzenegger are these days. News of a new venture from the Lone Survivor producer of Emmett/Furla/Oasis Films is up to produce and finance ‘Vice‘. The story of a city in which humans can enact their most perverse fantasies onto androids. One becomes all Sonny-self-aware, ala ‘I, Robot‘, bent on shutting down the system.
