Hi everyone, Bryan here….

Coming out of the Venice Film Festival, filmmaker John Landis has released a 3D version of Michael Jackson’s legendary music video/short film THRILLER. I can’t even right now. I’m so torn on this news. On one hand, this is the best announcement ever. On the other hand, it’s an announcement in 3D, which really doesn’t make anything better or brighter other than a Jackass sequel. What we’re hearing is that this 3D version of Thriller is just a pre-cursor of at least two other big announcements regarding the late King of Pop in the coming weeks.

Hi everyone, Bryan here….

You just can’t keep Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio away from each other. The two are prepping a new film that is based on the true crime thriller ‘Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI‘ by author David Grann. This insane true story is set in the 1920s where the members of the Osage nation in Oklahoma were brutally killed after someone discovered oil beneath their land. This went on for a while as a serial murder rampage, which was one of the first big cases the FBI investigated.

‘Tetris The Movie’ Will Be A Sci-Fi Thriller?!

by Red Zeppelbon on May 17th, 2016

Hey guys, Jana here,

B4u0FNS

There’s another video game movie that’s been in the works since it was announced last year, but I’m not exactly sure how they’re going to make a movie out of this one. ‘Tetris The Movie‘ will be an $80 million co-production between China and the US under Threshold Global Studios, a shingle just formed by Bruno Wu and producer Larry Kasanoff and Tetris will be the first product of the partnership. After a year of setting up shop, Threshold has financing completely secured for Tetris.

Hey guys, Jana here,

Michael Keaton

If there’s one thing the film world needs, it’s more spy movies! How about adapting Vince Flynn’s 14-best-selling novel series, ‘American Assassin‘? OK, so I didn’t think of it first, CBS Films and Lionsgate did because that’s the next film coming down the action pipeline. Not only that, but they’ve just brought in an A-lister that was part of not one, but two films that won the Best Film category for an Oscar for the last two years – Michael Keaton.

Hey guys, Jana here,

Nomads‘ was director John McTiernan’s freshman directorial effort. He would take what he learned from this film and employ it in a handful of films from the years surrounding the 1990’s that make up a few quintessential examples of film from that decade, not to mention one of the must-watch movies of the Christmas season. ‘Predator‘, ‘Die Hard‘, ‘The Hunt For Red October’, ‘Last Action Hero‘, ‘Die Hard With A Vengeance‘ and ‘The 13th Warrior‘ are among his noted resume. You caught the Christmas movie in there didn’t you? 1988’s ‘Die Hard‘ happily finds itself in the playlist on my home DVD player between ‘National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation‘ and ‘A Christmas Story‘.

The Oscar shadow continues to cast upon the film industry after the curtain drew on it’s show last night, proof of that is in the latest casting info for ‘Snowden‘, Oliver Stone’s take on the Edward Snowden story. If you remember, ‘Citizenfour‘ was a non-fiction portrayal of the same story that won Best Documentary last night in Hollywood.

Ving Rhames Joins Indie Thriller ‘Operation’!!!

by Red Zeppelbon on Aug 21st, 2014

Hey guys, Jana here,

683-0

Ving Rhames hit the film scene hard in the 80’s and never looked back. Since 1984, he’s had at least one, more often several, projects each consecutive year. One of his most memorable roles was as the unfortunately brutalized Marsellus Wallace in Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Pulp Fiction’. He provided the voice for Cobra Bubbles in Disney’s animated ‘Lilo & Stitch‘, and gave life to the flamboyant Fred G. Duncan in the comedy ‘I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry‘. Rhames has gone from genre to genre and proven to be a talented entertainer with each turn.

Hi, Bryan Here….

Colin Farrell is in final talks to join Anthony Hopkins in a new supernatural thriller titled ‘Solace‘, which Afonso Poyart will helm. The project will begin shooting in May and has a whopping four different writers, which has me leery of how good this could be. The writers are Peter Morgan, Ted Griffin, James Vanderbilt, and Sean Bailey, which Bailey is the current president of production over at Disney.

Hi Bryan Here….

Actress/Producer/Director Drew Barrymore will direct and produce a new film from Warner Bros. called ‘Heist Society’.  This film is based on a book by Ally Carter.  There was a multi-studio bidding war going on for the rights for this film.  Let’s hope Warner made the right decision.  Barrymore directed the critically acclaimed ‘Whip It’ about the Roller Derby game.

Movie Quotes

Bo Catlett:
You understand, I knew Harry was lying, saying this wasn't any good, but holding on it, man, you'd have to break his fingers to get it away from him.
Chili Palmer:
That's funny, because I was just thinking what I'd have to break of yours to get it away from you.
Bo Catlett:
Now I'm explaining to you what I'm doing here, in case you thought I came to rob the place, rip off any of this dusty old shit that the man has.
Chili Palmer:
I wouldn't make you out to be a burglar, not in that outfit.
