One of the most heart-warming movies of the year, ‘Wonder‘ is coming to 4K UHD, Blu-ray and Digital HD very soon. In fact, you’ll be able to watch the film digitally as soon as January 30th. Then on February 13th, you’ll be able to purchase the 4K UHD and Blu-ray Discs. Trust me, you’re going to want to his film in your collection. It’s that good. The 4K UHD Dis will feature Dolby Vision and HDR10 support, which is excellent. Bonus features include Audio Commentary, and quite a few behind the scenes featurettes on the making of the movie. I cannot wait for this one.

Hey guys, Jana here,

Michael Keaton

If there’s one thing the film world needs, it’s more spy movies! How about adapting Vince Flynn’s 14-best-selling novel series, ‘American Assassin‘? OK, so I didn’t think of it first, CBS Films and Lionsgate did because that’s the next film coming down the action pipeline. Not only that, but they’ve just brought in an A-lister that was part of not one, but two films that won the Best Film category for an Oscar for the last two years – Michael Keaton.

Film Review: ‘Brooklyn’!

by Gumbercules9000 on Nov 16th, 2015

Rebecca S., Here…

cdn.indiewire

Brooklyn” is a sweet look at life in a 1950’s version of the borough for a young Irish immigrant. Saoirse Ronan plays Eilis, a naïve girl sent to America to find a better future and a life away from her small town with her devoted sister, played by Fiona Glascott.  While that is the over-all story being told here, it is also a story of a girl who meets boy. The movie itself is gorgeous and every location feels authentic, however the film drags in certain places, making it easy for the mind to wander at times.

Film Review: ‘Learning to Drive’!

by Gumbercules9000 on Aug 21st, 2015

Janet W., Here…

Learning-to-Drive-Movie

Learning to Drive opens at the completion of driving instruction with Darwan Singh Tur (Sir Ben Kingsley) speaking words of wisdom and reality to his student driver.  Next we are guided through a typical day of a hardworking Indian in America.  Two jobs and a house full of relatives/friends from his village, Darwan is a stereotype of who Indians are.  I do not like stereotypes whether factual or not.  People are curvy (multi-faceted) and should not be pressed into any particular box/label.  However, in Learning to Drive, I see the Indian stereotype treated with honor and maybe even understanding.  I do not follow the Sikh religion nor do I understand it, but the worship was portrayed with reverence.
