We had the distinct honor to talk with the amazing director Nicolas Winding Refn and his wife Liv Corfixen in Austin, Tx at Fantastic Fest 2014. Refn is one of the advocates for the horror and crime genre and in addition to his great films, he can be seen on several bonus features of other Blu-rays talking about films. Refn directed ‘Valhalla Rising‘, ‘Bronson‘, and the recent films that starred Ryan Gosling which were ‘Drive‘ and ‘Only God Forgives‘. His new film, which was directed by his wife Liv is called ‘My Life‘ and chronicled the production of ‘Only God Forgives‘. It’s a great documentary. Here we discuss what went into that production, some of his previous projects and others that became unrealized, and of course some of their favorite scenes in film. Enjoy.
