Director David Gordon Green (‘Pineapple Express‘), has a new movie coming out called ‘JOE‘, which stars Nic Cage and Tye Sheridan (‘Mud‘). This trailer is different for Cage, and looks like this will be one of the good movies for him. I can’t wait to see this, as it looks different and original from anything else. Enjoy the trailer below. ‘JOE‘ will be released in theaters and VOD on April 11th.

Interview With Tye Sheridan on ‘Joe’!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Apr 10th, 2014

Hi, Bryan Here….

JoeDGGtiffPhotosFullAugwide599-1

We had the distinct pleasure to sit down with actor Tye Sheridan for the movie ‘Joe‘ that starred Nic Cage and was directed by David Gordon Green. The first part of this video is a one-on-one conversation with Tye and writer Suzanne Loranc. Following this brief one-on-one, there is a round table interview Tye for your viewing pleasure. Tye discusses his role in ‘Joe‘, working with Nic Cage, his interest in directing, his favorite films, and his favorite super-hero he would like to play in a movie someday. This was a very fun interview in Dallas, TX. Go see ‘Joe‘. And don’t forget to CLICK HERE to read my review of ‘Joe‘.

Film Review: ‘Joe’!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Apr 10th, 2014

Hi, Bryan Here….

joe-movie-review-09122013-145102

Director David Gordon Green has had quite an impressive resume over the last ten years, and this being 2014, Green is showing no signs of weakening or bowing down to the execs of Hollywood any time soon. Green’s resume includes ‘Pineapple Express‘, ‘Eastbound and Down‘, ‘Your Highness‘, and the more recent drama ‘Prince Avalanche‘. He also produced the gritty thriller ‘Compliance‘. Green seemed to step away from the likes of Will Ferrell, Seth Rogen, and Danny McBride, and made an unrelenting yet beautiful movie with ‘Joe‘, which is based on a novel by Larry Brown of the same name from 1991.

Hi, Bryan Here….

‘The Exorcist’ director, William Friedkin is gearing up to direct a film called ‘I Am Wrath’, starring Nic Cage.  Not only did Friedkin direct ‘The Exorcist’, but he also gave us ‘To Live and Die in LA’, ‘The French Connection’, and the recent ‘Killer Joe’.  Back at the Toronto Film Festival, it was said that Cage was set to star in the film and that Friedkin was being courted by the studios to direct.  Today, the contracts are being drawn up for Friedkin to helm the project.

Blu-ray Review: ‘Stronger’!

by Gumbercules9000 on Dec 18th, 2017

THE FILM

The Boston Marathon Bombing was a horrific tragedy that only happened a few years ago, where a bomb went off at the finish line of the big marathon. People died and even more were injured. Amongst those injured was a young guy named Jeff Bauman, who lost both of his legs at that bombing. We’ve seen a number of films that have dealt with terroristic attacks that involve elite military teams or big action sequences. Other films might tackle a group of police officers or a group of people who have to deal with this attack. That’s not the case with this fantastic and melancholy film called ‘Stronger‘.

The Royal Rumble 2017!

by Gumbercules9000 on Jan 30th, 2017

Hi everyone, Bryan here…

Screen Shot 2017-01-30 at 2.17.21 PM

The road to Wrestlemania is officially underway as the 2017 Royal Rumble has a winner. Perhaps the second biggest WWE event of the year, the winner of the Rumble goes on to the main event of Wrestlemania to challenge the Champion on the grandest stage of them all. This 29th Royal Rumble took place in San Antonio, Texas at the Alamodome and had over 50,000 people in attendance. Before the Rumble match itself, there were several championship matches with interesting outcomes, which should tell the tale of what’s to come at Wrestlemania 33 in April. Now here’s a taste of the good, the bad, and the ugly of the Royal Rumble 2017.

Hi everyone, Bryan Here….

shane-jump

As I’m recovering from seven insane days of ‘Wrestlemania 32‘ in Dallas, TX., I’ve had time to reflect, contemplate, saturate, and regurgitate every I event I attended. I had my box of Booty O’s to make sure I wasn’t Booty thru the weekend, met some good people, watched some amazing matches, talked with some WWE Superstars, and lost my voice when Shane-O-Mac put his life on the line for the WWE Business. To quote a certain former WWE announcer, it was a slobberknocker of a week for sure that hit me in the solar plexus more times than I’d like to admit. WWE really did it up big this year for Wrestlemania 32. Not only did they put on several good shows, but they also broke records. There was over 101,000 people in attendance at AT&T Stadium for Wrestlemania 32, beating the previous record from Wrestlemania 3 by quite a bit. Not only that, ticket sales and merch sales were way up as well from previous years. It seems like WWE is growing exponentially with more and more fans tuning in every week. That’s a good thing. Instead of writing a recap of the entire weekend, I’ll give you some details of some of the cooler things I witnessed over the past week.

Bryan’s Best and Worst of 2014 List!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Dec 22nd, 2014

Hi everyone, Bryan Here…

Wright_39_s_Top_10_Films_of_2014

I can’t believe how fast this year has gone by. 2014 was an interesting year to say the least, most of which was great. Movie-wise, I think 2014 had some excellent films filling its theaters, but of course it had some real stinkers too. Below is my list of the Best and Worst films of 2014 with some added categories down at the bottom. I believe this year I watched over 145 new films, theatrically speaking and it was very difficult to narrow them down from 25. After some chocolate snacks covered in marshmallow cream, I finally had a TOP 10. But when you talk about the Best movies, you have to mention the worst too. My list tends to be a tad bit different from others, but hey, I’m twisted. I highly encourage you to seek out these movies – good or bad and enjoy the rest of your year.

In a rare treat, and in the spirit of WWE Week on the USA network, the WWE Universe got to unwrap the gift of a Super Smackdown! What made it super? Why it was brought to us LIVE from Grand Rapids, Michigan. Also, it may have been the 800th episode but who’s counting? The night promised to be exciting was a sorely missed Superstar made his in ring return, two crazy people were under the same roof, and we were just one night removed from our World Heavy Weight Champion making an appearance. How would the guys and gals who we tune into watch fare on this special addition? Let’s find out!
