NBC Gives Craig Robinson’s Comedy A Series Order!!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Jan 8th, 2014

Jana B., Here….

 Craig2

Craig Robinson is one of the funniest dudes on film and screen today. Every time I hear his name, I see him screaming from the building after discovering they’re back in the 80’s. This guy can make a scream hilarious. Needless to say, I’m thrilled that a comedy project starring Robinson has finally got a six episode commitment after being stalled for a year after the pilot.

The Office’s Craig Robinson to Be The Antichrist!!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Apr 1st, 2011

Hi Bryan Here….

With the economy where it is today, several film studios are producing small budget films with the hopes that it makes a big box office splash.  One of those studios is Lionsgate Films.  They have optioned several films with a budget of two million a piece.  It doesn’t take hundreds of millions of dollars to make a great film or make people laugh or scared.  What it takes are people who are passionate, talented, and enthusiastic about making the film, and all that emotion will carry over into its release.  It’s a good thing.

I had the pleasure to sit down with the ‘AN EVENING WITH BEVERLY LUFF LINN‘ filmmakers at Fantastic Fest 2018 this year, including Jim Hosking and David Wike. You’d remember them mostly from their previous movie ‘THE GREASY STRANGLER‘. Their new film ‘AN EVENING WITH BEVERLY LUFF LINN‘ is a sweet, odd, and magical movie about love, romance, past relationships, and music. The film stars Aubrey Plaza, Jemaine Clement, Emile Hirsch, Craig Robinson, and more. See the full review HERE.

Film Review: ‘Tragedy Girls’!

by Gumbercules9000 on Oct 24th, 2017

“Tragedy Girls fits best on a weeknight in October when you’ve already watched the good horror movies leading up to Halloween.”

Tragedy Girls is a movie that you probably don’t know about, haven’t seen ads for, and will have a tough time finding but if it comes on Netflix or Amazon Prime and you need to kill 90 minutes? You could do much worse. The film is a solid attempt at satire of high school, social media, and horror movies. It also contains some legitimately dark humor that really shocked me at first because I knew nothing about the film going in. I need to set the plot a bit in order to discuss the movie further.

Get ready to enjoy an animated movie in a way we’ve never enjoyed one before. Very R-Rated and not at all appropriate for kids. Ladies, check your tampons at the door because this is the red band trailer for ‘Sausage Party‘. A raunchy, hilarious look at the food we eat every day and this chick loves what she sees!

Film Review: ‘Hot Tub Time Machine 2’!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Feb 19th, 2015

Hi everyone, Bryan Here…

hot-tub-time-machine-2-trailer

With the success of the ‘Hot Tub Time Machine‘, both critically and financially, it made sense to make a sequel. Well that time has come and original director and writer Steve Pink and Josh Heald have conjured up more or less a similar story, but this time with more gross out humor and less 80’s pop culture references. Instead of going back in time, the gang minus John Cusack jumps in the tub and end up in the year 2025 in New Orleans, where it looks more like 2015 with the exception of pets flying on hover boards and automobiles acting like humans.

If you think about ‘Hot Tub Time Machine 2‘ you probably don’t see how it would fit into the theme of the night of Super Bowl, but they found a way by referencing both the New England Patriots and Deflate-gate.

Hey guys, Jana here,

Hot Tub Time Machine‘ (2010) was a brilliant walk down memory lane, of course that walk was in the most irreverent way possible, but it was glorious. John Cusack, Craig Robinson and Rob Corddry were seamless best friends, the friendship was believable, and didn’t feel like we were watching actors. I adored that film and still laugh uproariously when I re-watch it. A big part of what brought success with the first film is the relationship the three actors had with one another. Not trying to minimize Clark Duke’s part in any way, but he wasn’t as tight to the group as the others were.

Check out the Hot Tub Time Machine 2 Trailer Here!!!

by Red Zeppelbon on Jul 24th, 2014

Hey guys, Jana here,

hottub2

I’ve been anticipating ‘Hot Tub Time Machine 2‘ since I saw the last one. We got our hands on not only the trailer for the new flick, but the red-band trailer. It looks like as much fun as the first was with one small hitch. Adam, the John Cusack Adam, is absent. Instead of John Cusack, we have Adam Scott, not that it’s going to ruin the movie, but the same guys we started the journey with are not the same guys we’re going to end it with. Lou and Nick are still being played by Rob Corddry and Craig Robinson, Chevy Chase is back as the repairman and Clarke Duke is Jacob. This time instead of re-living the past, they’re taking on the future.

The Quick & Dirty: ‘This Is the End’

thisistheend-firstposter-full

Synopsis: The apocalypse has come to Hollywood. The good have been taken to heaven during the rapture, and the bad (including most actors) have been left to fend for themselves against all sorts of invading evil. The story follows six actors (Seth Rogen, James Franco, Jonah Hill, Jay Baruchel, Danny McBride, and Craig Robinson) as they struggle to survive, find food and water, fight off monsters, and avoid killing each other in the process.

Film Review: ‘This is the End’!!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Jun 11th, 2013

Hi, Bryan Here….

 this_is_the-end

Car crashes, explosions, decapitations, exorcisms, the apocalypse, and tons of dick jokes make up Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen’sThis is the End‘. And I can say that it’s the most fun I’ve had at the movies in ten years. In this dark comedy, we have the entire Apatow clan plus many more cameos of our favorite comedians who all play themselves as they take on the end of days. It’s genuine, gut-bustingly funny, sick, crude, and self-deprecating, which all results in the likes of a twisted reality show, complete with solo interviews with a camera scattered throughout the movie. I anticipate a large opening weekend with a long lasting power after ‘Man of Steel‘ releases later this week.

Emily D., Here….

hot_tub_time_machine_01

If you are as big a fan of Adam Scott as I am, then I have great news for you. With such credits as NBC’sParks and Recreation‘ where Scott plays Ben Wyatt, Amy Poehler’s colleague and love interest, or as Will Ferrell’s “successful” yuppie brother Derek in the movie ‘Step Brothers‘, then you are going to want to see ‘Hot Tub Time Machine 2‘. If it is anything like the first one, then you are in for a real treat.

Hi, Bryan Here….

Craig-Robinson-Rob-Corddr-001

I’m pretty excited about this.  I thought the first film was very funny. MGM must have thought the same thing as they are planning the sequel as we speak to the 2010 original.  Right now the project is in the talking stages, meaning the studio is having discussions with Rob Corddry, Craig Robinson, and Clark Duke to reprise their roles. At this moment, John Cusack is not involved with the project.

Hi, Bryan Here….

As we have previously reported, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg are making their directorial debut with ‘End of the World’.  This is based on a short film that starred Rogen and Jay Baruchel called ‘Jay and Seth vs. The Apocalypse’.  It had both  Rogen and Baruchel who took shelter in their apartment as they dealt with the end of the world.  Of course this is going to be on a much bigger scale and since it’s Rogen and Goldberg’s first job at directing; they want to litter the film with tons of big cameos.
