Nov/2019

Hi Bryan Here…

Sorry for the lack of this column over the past few weeks.  Been so busy with the holiday season, the website moving to different bigger servers, planning on some big contests and info to dish out to yall, and a few other surprises here and there.  But alas, the Bluray/DVD column is back on track and will be out weekly again.  So i hope you enjoy this abundance of releases.  Tons of great stuff here.

As usual, you will get some info about the disc and the extras that come with the movie as well as a personal opinion about the movie and a link to purchase the film over at AMAZON where you can save quite a bit of money, and it will give a small percentage kick back to this site so we can continue bringing you excellent stories and sales.

Enjoy and Here We Go!!

‘Satanic Panic’ – Film Review!

by Gumbercules9000 on Sep 9th, 2019

“‘Satanic Panic’ is a lazy attempt at what could’ve been good horror.”

A new horror-comedy called ‘Satanic Panic‘ is here that stars real-life couple Jerry O’Connell and Rebecca Romijn, Hayley Griffith, and Ruby Modine in a blood-drenched romp about wealthy satanic worshipers who are in dire need of a sacrifice of the virgin kind. The two genres don’t mix well here as filmmaker Chelsea Stardust can’t seem to handle the amusing characters without making them over-the-top parodies of themselves. It’s a fun setup for sure, which we’ve seen handled better in other films, but the payoff is lackluster and none of it makes any sense and that’s a shame because this could’ve been a highly entertaining new horror film. But it isn’t.

The Munsters are Getting a Reboot!

by Gumbercules9000 on Aug 10th, 2017

Hi everyone, Bryan here…

Does no production company or tv network have any original ideas anymore? When will these studios and networks take a chance on something new? Ugh. Anyway, NBC is reviving The Munsters, which was a 1960s comedy series of lovable monsters. It was like Leave it to Beaver, but with monsters. Jill Kargman and Seth Meyers are behind the reboot. This new take will be a half-hour single camera show, which is now in full gear, and will follow the family in a hip area of Brooklyn, trying to fit in.

Podcast #37 – Re-Cast of ‘Stand By Me’!

by Gumbercules9000 on Jun 16th, 2014

Hi everyone, Bryan Here….

PD44643282_423971b_1917795b

The Multi-Media Men are back with the 37th episode that covers all things in the entertainment industry. We had a small house this time around since it was Father’s Day. Joining me is Adam Conway from the Angelika Film Center and Susan Kamyab from This Chix Flix. It was a lot of fun to say the least.  Here is one of our infamous Re-Cast segments. We went ahead  and recast the iconic film ‘Stand By Me‘, which is one of the best films of all time that starred Wil Wheaton, River Phoenix, Corey Feldman, Jerry O’Connell, and Kiefer Sutherland, and was directed by Rob Reiner and based off a short story by Stephen King. There is no way we can replace any of the amazing actors aboard here, but in this day and age, a remake is more likely to happen than not. So here are some of our suggestions on who should play which role? Do you agree with us?Let us know  if you agree or missed anything. And please let us know what you think by going to our FACEBOOK page and TWITTER page, which you should visit to catch up on all the latest information. And don’t forget to visit iTunes and Stitcher to subscribe to our podcast. Enjoy the show.

Film Review: ‘Veronica Mars’!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Mar 13th, 2014

Hi, Bryan Here…

veronica-mars-movie-logan

A long time ago, we used to be friends, but I haven’t thought of you lately at all. That is until about a year ago, ‘Veronica Mars‘ creator Rob Thomas and Veronica herself Kristen Bell took to the crowd-funder website Kickstarter and asked us fans of the amazing tv show ‘Veronica Mars‘ to fund a feature film. Warner Bros. told Bell and Thomas that if they successfully funded the $2 million dollar budget, that they would match that and distribute and market the movie.
