Ready or Not – Film Review!
“‘Ready or Not’ is a bloody wonderful movie for all the right reasons.”
It’s a strange world we live in where Fox News and the horrible jackass in the White House conjure up bogus debates that ultimately led to the cancellation of a movie called ‘The Hunt‘, which followed a group of people who hunt and kill someone else with different political views. Now, its own movie studio (Fox Searchlight) has released ‘Ready or Not‘, which is practically the same story, but is more subtle in its satire of the political and class system in America. This incredible darkly comic film is part ‘The Purge‘ and part ‘Jumanji‘ in a twisted way where an uber-wealthy family looks to kill people who join their clan. It’s a hell of a fun ride that mixes great humor and bloody violence into a short run-time from the filmmaking club Radio Silence (Matt Bettinelli-Olphin and Tyler Gillett).

Go On A Bike Ride With Dax Shepard and Michael Peña in ‘CHIPS’!!!
Hey guys, Jana here,
What’s better than watching 1970’s TV series? Watching a movie based on the show that’s full of throwback glory written and directed by the one and only Mr. Kristen Bell, Dax Shepard. Warner Bros. debuts the trailer for ‘CHIPs‘. Shepard gets another credit for starring in this film that looks to be one of the funniest things I’ve seen. Dax stars as Jon Baker and Michael Peña co-stars as Frank ‘Ponch’ Poncherello. Lindsey Taylor, Adam Brody and Ryan Hansen co-star with an ensemble cast that is just flat-out hilarious.
Dax Shepard Is Steering The Mystery Machine For Scooby-Doo Film!!!
Hey guys, Jana here,
Dax Shepard is in negotiations with Warner Bros. to join screenwriter Matt Lieberman in working on the latest Scooby-Doo animated feature. Shepard’s role grew from there and he’s now co-directing with Emmy-nominated Tony Cervone, who has more than a few Scooby-Doo flicks under his belt.
‘Yoga Hosers’ Brings Johnny Depp and Kevin Smith Together…And Their Daughters!!!
Hey guys, Jana here,
There are few actors as widely known in Hollywood as Johnny Depp is right now. If you take his fan base and star power and attach it to a writer-filmmaker of remarkable erudition like Kevin Smith, what results is going to be momentous. Smith has a farcical sense of humor and everything he writes is peppered with the same wry commentary that is fan-freaking-tastic!
Film Review: ‘Think Like A Man Too’!!
Hi everyone, Bryan Here….
It’s been two years since we last saw the characters of ‘Think Like A Man‘, which was based off of Steve Harvey’s book ‘Act Like A Lady, Think Like A Man‘. The first film followed a group of guys and girls falling in love with one another with all of the ups and downs of a relationship. It was funny, charming, and worth the time. Director Tim Story is back in the director’s chair again for this second outing. Statistically and historically, if a film on a modest budget does well, more than likely there will be a sequel.
Film Review: ‘Lovelace’!!!
Hi, Bryan Here…
Here is the first of two films that is based on the porn phenomenon Linda Lovelace (Amanda Seyfried), who rose to superstardom in the early 70s with the film ‘Deep Throat‘. This biopic film of Linda Boreman could’ve been a disaster, but directors Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman made an engaging and entertaining look at Boreman’s life, even if at times her situations are difficult to watch. The acting is spot on for everyone in this film with a killer retro soundtrack. With a surprising wider release than I thought this little film would have, I expect a decent box office draw.

Blu-Ray Review: ‘Seeking A Friend for the End of the World’
Hi, Bryan Here….
‘Seeking A Friend For The End of the World’ asks that age old question, “If you knew the world was going to end in a matter of a few days, what would you do?”. In this case, we instantly learn that a large asteroid will be hitting Earth and that the last ditch effort to save Earth has failed. It’s game over, folks. That’s how we meet Dodge (Steve Carrell), who hears the tragic news on his car radio. This is an unique take on romantic comedies that is as sweet and fulfilling as chocolate cream pie.

Podcast #32 – ReCast of ‘The Rocky Horror Picture Show’!!
Hi, Bryan Here…
Here is our 32nd episode of ‘The Multi-Media Men‘, and we are back from a two week hiatus from covering the Dallas Film Festival. We recorded this 32nd podcast on Easter Sunday morning in Dallas, TX, and were missing a couple of regulars. However, we were joined by Susan Kamyab of ‘This Chix Flix‘ and ‘Irving Community Television‘ this weekend and she made an excellent addition to the podcast. And since we are back from our small break, what better way to celebrate than with one of our infamous ReCast segments. We went ahead and did it. We ReCast ‘The Rocky Horror Picture Show‘, which is one of the best films of all time. There is no way we can replace any of the actors aboard here, but we know that MTV wants to remake it and in this day and age, it is more likely to happen than not. So here are some of our suggestions on who should play which role? Do you agree with us? And please let us know what you think by going to our FACEBOOK page, which you should visit to catch up on all the latest information. And don’t forget to visit iTunes and Stitcher to subscribe to our podcast. Enjoy the show.
