Albert Brooks and Ellen DeGeneres are re-teaming with director Andrew Stanton for the sequel  to ‘Finding Nemo‘, which is currently titled ‘Finding Dory‘. It has been ten years since ‘Finding Nemo‘ and we have learned that this new sequel will hit theaters November 25th, 2015, and will take place one year after the original film.

The new flick, if you can’t already tell by the title, will focus on Dory, the blue tang fish that helps Marlin find his son Nemo. So it looks like we will just keep swimming, just keep swimming to the year 2015.  ‘Finding Nemo‘ won Best Animated Picture at the Oscars for that year and is the 4th highest grossing animated film of all time.  “There is no Dory without Ellen,” Stanton said in the release today announcing the date. “One thing we couldn’t stop thinking about was why she was all alone in the ocean on the day she met Marlin. In Finding Dory, she will be reunited with her loved ones, learning a few things about the meaning of family along the way.”

I’m truly intrigued by this, and hopefully it won’t be the same exact story, however most Pixar stories are the same for the most part, but with different characters.  That being said, Pixar films are some of the best movies ever made.  I just hope we get the groovy turtles in again.

Your thoughts?
