If you’re a director in Hollywood and you’ve got a movie near and dear to your heart that you don’t want to see bastardized with a remake, how can you prevent that? Well, if you’re Joe Camp, you get your son to be the one responsible for the remake. If this one gets messed up Christmas is pretty awkward, right? OK, I don’t know if that’s the exact way the reboot came about, but the bottom line is we’re getting a reboot of ‘Benji‘!!!

The younger Camp, who is responsible for ‘Love Happens‘, that starred Jennifer Aniston and Aaron Eckhart, has already gotten filming underway in New Orleans. The cast includes Kiele Sanchez, Gabriel Bateman, Darby Camp, Will Rothhaar, Angus Sampson and Jerod Haynes. Blumhouse has partnered with Brandon Camp and is a part of the financing package that is backing the project.
