Our patience has been rewarded and we have a poster and trailer for ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2‘!!! The sequel to the absolute hit that was the first film doesn’t come into theaters until May 5, 2017.

The official synopsis is set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand. Besides the original band of characters we saw the first time around there are a few new actors, most notably Kurt Russell and Sylvester Stallone. I can’t wait to see what the delicious Chris Pratt is up to this time around, and is Groot a fun-loving toddler or a sullen teenager? These are my questions.
