Hi, Bryan Here….

The 85th Academy Awards® will air live on Oscar® Sunday, February 24, 2013.

Well the Oscar nominations are in, which you can see by CLICKING HERE. There were some great nominees this year, but tons of stuff got snubbed. I can’t believe some of the misfires this year. There are tons of films and people that should have received a nomination. Here are some that got snubbed in my opinion.

INSIDE LLEWYN DAVIS did not receive any nominations, other than BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY and BEST SOUND EDITING this year and that is insane, because the music in this film was some of the best out of the year. The Coen Bros. did a great job with this one and Oscar Isaac did a phenomenal job in the film. But I can’t believe this did not receive a music nod.

OPRAH WINFREY did not receive an oscar nomination for THE BUTLER, nor did THE BUTLER receive any kind of nomination for anything. But Winfrey did a remarkable job here and was her best role to date. I feel she was snubbed.

THE WAY WAY BACK did not receive any nomination and that is goddamn ridiculous. SAM ROCKWELL deserves and nomination for this role as does the screenplay for this film. This was one of the best movies of 2013 and the Academy fucked it over. This should have received a nomination for something.

FRUITVALE STATION did not receive any nominations either. I am quite surprised Michael B. Jordan, Ryan Coogler (director), and Octavia Spencer did  not receive nominations for this film. This was a powerful and brilliant movie and yet it received no love. This film should have been announced today.

JAMES GANDOLFINI should have received a nomination for his amazing role in ENOUGH SAID. It was his best performance since THE SOPRANOS.

ALL IS LOST and ROBERT REDFORD did not receive any love today either other than SOUND EDITING and that is a shame too.

And what the FUCK is the academy thinking by not giving a nomination to PACIFIC RIM for BEST VISUAL EFFECTS? Are they fucking NUTS??
