Hi, Bryan Here…

wonder-woman1

It seems that Wonder Woman just can’t get any love these days. Joss Whedon tried rebooting Wonder Woman several years ago, but that didn’t go anywhere and the CW announced earlier last year that the DC superhero would get her own show called ‘Amazon’, which was a prequel in the vein of ‘Smallville‘ that showcased a young Wonder Woman discovering her powers.

But that show has just been cancelled, before it could go to pilot. The story was going to explore Wonder Woman’s alter ego Diana of Themyscira in the supposed series, which was going to be run by Allan Heinberg of and Aron Eli Coleite. CW president Mark Pedowitz said today that it will not go forward with the show, but if a better script comes along, they will revisit the superhero.

At least we will be getting Wonder Woman in Zack Snyder’s upcoming ‘Man of Steel‘ sequel, which will feature Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and Ben Affleck as Batman.

Your thoughts?
