‘Secrets & Lies’ an ABC drama series adapted from the Australian version of the same name, will be produced by Australia-based Hoodlum. Barbie Kligman (‘Private Practice’, ‘The Vampire Diaries’, ‘CSI: NY’) is writing, executive producer and showrunner along with EP’s Tracey Robertson and Nathan Mayfield. Charles McDougall (‘Sex and the City’, ‘The Office’) is set to direct the pilot.  Ryan Phillippe has signed on to play the patriarch who becomes the prime suspect in the murder of a young boy when he finds the body. Juliette Lewis is the newest addition to the cast and will play Andrea Cornell, the unflappable, somewhat formidable detective conducting the investigation into the slaying of 4 year old Tom Mullen who has her sights set on Ben (Phillippe), the loving father who found the boy’s body.

There is a new drama pilot over at ABC called ‘Secrets and Lies‘, and the studio wants Ryan Phillippe (‘Cruel Intentions’) as the lead star. ‘Secrets and Lies‘ is an Australian show, which will be adapted for America and will focus on a family man (Phillippe) who becomes the major suspect in the murder of young boy when he discovers the body. Nobody believes him, so he must find the real killer himself as his family and life start to spiral out of control.

Hi Bryan Here….

Still playing catch up.  So this is just one day late, but that’s much better than eight days right?  Well anyway, this is a pretty great week for releases so let us jump right in and get to all the goodies.  Some of the must own blu-rays include ‘Buster Keaton Short Films’, ‘Rango’, plus some other goodies.   As usual, in this article, you will get some info about the disc and the extras that come with the movie as well as a personal opinion about the movie and a link to purchase the film over at AMAZON where you can save quite a bit of money, and it will give a small percentage kick back to this site so we can continue bringing you excellent stories and sales.

Just in time to commemorate National Goth Day, The Wyly Theatre in Dallas opened its doors on 5/22 to a risqué musical based on the classic cult film: Cruel Intentions (1999). As the audience filled the black box theatre auditorium, dark tufted walls and dim lighting set the intimate mood for this scandalous dramedy. Cruel Intentions‘ was a popular movie back in 1999. It starred a young Sarah Michelle Gellar, a young Ryan Phillippe, and a young Reese Witherspoon. Not to mention a dozen other “before they were famous” stars now. It was so popular back then, that it spawned a sequel or two. Now, NBC is doing a tv series, which is I guess a sequel of sorts. And Sarah Michelle Gellar has just signed on to reprise her role from the original 1999 film.

In the land of Hollywood, we’re looking yet another reboot. It seems like the time frame between original showing and remake keeps getting smaller and smaller. Up on the chopping block this time is ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’. Sony has reached out to ‘Oculus‘ director Mike Flanagan for the reboot.
