HBO is kicking off production on a multi-part documentary that will cover events in Muhammad Ali’s amazing life. The untitled doc comes from Lebron James and Maverick Carter’s SpringHill Entertainment. ‘Training Day‘ director Antoine Fuqua will be the man behind the camera and will also exec produce through his Fuqua Films banner.

We will get an up close and personal look at the wins, the losses, the dreams and the man who appeared larger than life at the center of it all. If you are a fan of “The Greatest of All Time”, you’ll certainly want to tune in, the documentary will have a mass global appeal to folks in all walks of life, sports fans or not. The estate of Muhammad Ali is on board and participating with the production and providing never-before-seen photos all from the private collections of the family.

The project is tentatively scheduled for a debut in 2018.
