Willem Dafoe To Play Pier Paolo Pasolini In Biopic Directed By Abel Ferrara!!
by Gumbercules9000 on Jul 8th, 2013Hi, Bryan Here….
We’ve known about the possibility of this project for a while, but it seems that the gears are moving full force now and we will finally be getting a biopic movie based on director’s Pier Paolo Pasolini life with Willem Dafoe playing Pasolini. The project is being helmed by Abel Ferrara, who made ‘Bad Lieutenant‘ and ‘King of New York‘. Ferrara is currently wrapping up his latest project titled ‘Welcome to New York‘, which is based on the Dominique Strauss-Kahn sex scandal.
Dafoe and Ferrara have worked together on three other projects, with this being the fourth one and will showcase the last days of Pasolini’s life leading up to his brutal murder. A young thug was arrested at the time, but still to this day, many believe that his murder was part of a bigger plan. And it certainly seems so as his short film career caused much controversy. I mean, Pasolini did make ‘Salo: 120 Days of Sodom‘, which is one of the most fucked up movies ever made. I can’t wait to learn more about this movie.
