Hey guys, Jana here,

Steven

Steven Spielberg has signed on to direct a script from Liz Hannah and is bringing a few acting A-Listers along for the ride. Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep have boarded the project from Amblin Entertainment which will be co-financed by Fox.

Each of the principals have got loaded schedules, but have found a way to squeeze in work on the film that will cover the role The Washington Post played when they published the study about America’s role in the Vietnam War. The feature will center on the work of editor of the Post, Ben Bradlee (Hanks) and publisher Kay Graham (Streep).

When it comes to Streep, Hanks and Spielberg, we know there have been quite a few combinations where they’ve all worked together. Spielberg and Hanks are the movie equivalent to Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake with their bromance, Spielberg and Dame Meryl worked on ‘A.I.‘, but surprisingly, this will be the first time we will see Streep and Hanks on the big screen at the same time. This project will undoubtedly turn heads and garner a few awards when it debuts.
