Harmony Korine (Trash Humpers) is headed for a vacation with Spring Breakers, a story of four college girls who rob a bank to afford their Spring Break trip.

James Franco (127 Hours) is already attached, with Vanessa Hudgens (Sucker Punch), Emma Roberts (The Phantom of the Opera), and Selena Gomez (Ramona and Beezus) all in talks to join the cast.

The four girls would be very different characters. Roberts would play a Southern girl with a taste for danger; Gomez would be the religious one who likes to play it safe. Franco will play a drug dealer who coerces them into killing his rival. Hudgens’ character’s personality is not yet out to the public.

This. Sounds. Hilarious. So let’s hope they take Korine up on his offer, because they sound like perfect casting. Especially since Gomez has yet to play a role out of the safety of Disney. Hudgens has already started on the big girl ladder with Sucker Punch, and I’d like to see her keep it up.

David Zander (The Mood) will produce with help from Chris Hanley (360). The film will be shot during Spring Break in Florida.
