Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly are teaming up again for another project at Sony Pictures. Etan Cohen is directing the pair in ‘Holmes & Watson‘, a comedy that is inspired by Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes tale. Ferrell will be Holmes and Reilly will appear as Watson.

The project was originally planned for Ferrell and Sacha Baron Cohen, but time constraints got in the way and the wheels fell off the production. Things have moved quickly once scheduling opened up and the plan is to go into production right after Thanksgiving.

There isn’t any type of story line released, yet, but I think it’s safe to assume the project will be a more humorous departure from Benedict Cumberbatch’s ‘Sherlock.
