It might be for director Ridley Scott’s birthday, but we get the gift from 20th Century Fox! What kind of gift you ask? A new screenshot from the upcoming ‘Alien: Covenant‘! It shows the, now 79 year old, director standing near one of his classic ‘Alien‘ creations.

The description for ‘Alien: Covenant‘ is heart-stoppingly exciting: Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discover what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world, whose sole inhabitant is the synthetic David, survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.

The flick stars Michael Fassbender as the aforementioned David, with Noomi Rapace returning to the role of Dr. Elizabeth Shaw and newcomers Billy Crudup, Katherine Waterston, Danny McBride and Carmen Ejogo round out the top players. Just five more months when we can see this completed on May 19.
