Will Beall (‘Gangster Squad‘) has been tapped by Warner Bros. to pen the script for DC Entertainment’sAquaman‘. Beall is the writer behind the ‘Training Day‘ series which is currently filming, and ‘The Legend of Conan‘. The script is going to be based off a previous treatment by Geoff Johns and director James Wan.

Jason Momoa will be the king of the sea as ‘Aquaman‘ with Amber Heard and Willem Dafoe will also star in the project. Momoa gave a blink and you’ll miss it cameo appearance in ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice‘.

The film follows Aquaman, the King of the Seven Seas and the reluctant ruler of Atlantis. He is caught between a surface world constantly ravaging the sea and Atlanteans looking to lash out in revolt.

The project will debut July 27, 2018.
