Hey guys, Jana here,

One of the hottest films of the summer is sure to be one of the most asked for Blu-ray’s this Christmas! ‘Guardians of the Galaxy‘  takes us into new corners of the Marvel Universe with bold space adventurer Peter Quill steals an extremely rare and valuable orb that becomes the focus of a dogged bounty hunt.  In order to run from his enemies, Quill forges an unlikely and uneasy truce with Rocket, a gun-crazy raccoon; Groot, a tree-like strongman with low verbal skills, a deadly assassin named Gamora and Drax who is focused mainly on revenge.  Once the true power of the orb is discovered, the unlikely band of heroes comes together in a final battle that will decide the fate of the whole galaxy.

Marvel is releasing ‘Guardians of the Galaxy‘ on Digital HD plus Disney Movies Anywhere on November 18th, Blu-ray 3D Combo Pack, Blu-Ray, DVD and On-Demand December 9th! In addition to the comedic and heroic adventure tale, we will see never-before-seen deleted scenes, gag reel and an exclusive look at Marvel’s ‘The Avengers: Age of Ultron‘ and more!

With the film’s theatrical run earning over $645 million worldwide and has passed the  $300 million mark at both the domestic and international box offices. Guardians opened on August 1, with $94.3 million which made it the biggest August debut of all time and ultimately the biggest August release ever. If anyone had any doubts about Marvel’s staying power, the fact that Guardians was the 10th straight Marvel Studios film to open at #1 should quash those feelings.

James Gunn  co-wrote the script with Nicole Perlman and  then directed a star-studded cast comprised of Chris Pratt (‘The Lego Movie‘), Zoe Saldana (‘Avatar‘, ‘Star Trek‘), Dave Bautista (‘Riddick‘), Vin Diesel (‘Fast and the Furious‘), Bradley Cooper (‘American Hustle‘), Lee Pace (‘The Hobbit’), Michael Rooker (‘The Walking Dead’), Karen Gillan (‘Doctor Who’), Djimon Hounsou (‘Gladiator’), John C.
