Stephen Root can be solidly qualified as one of “those guys”. You’ve seen him in just about everything, but oh-my-gosh-what-is-his-name?! He’s an amazing character and as such, has been in too many projects to list and his voice has featured in even more. He was the voice behind one of the core characters from the long-running ‘King of the Hill‘ animated series for example. Now he can add one more credit to his resume with a role in ‘Barry‘.
Bill Hader is co-writing an directing the project, which also stars Henry Winkler, for HBO. The premise is hilarious and I can’t wait to see this show. Hader will play an ex-Marine who works as a low-rent hitman in the Midwest. His next assignment leads the loner to Los Angeles where he discovers a kinship among a group of hopefuls in the L.A. theater scene. Root fits in as attorney, Fuches, who arranges Barry’s assignments.
Tell me that doesn’t sound like pure entertainment!
