In this special interview edition episode – we discuss the holocaust and the new film DARA OF JASENOVAC. We also have the lead consultant and historian for the film join us on the show to talk about making the film and its history – Dr. Michael Berenbaum.
Dr. Michael Berenbaum is a college professor, historian, expert, and adviser on the subject of the holocaust and has been a part of numerous films dealing with that time period. He led Stephen Spielberg’s Survivors of the Shoah Visual History Foundation, where he received and recorded over 50,000 testimonies from the holocaust, is an author of many books on the subject, and a rabbi.
Dr. Berenbaum, Susan, and I have a candid and open discussion about his life, career, working on the film, the elements that were changed, and current political and societal issues. It was a fascinating and important talk.
