Hello, Jana here,
Dayo Okeniyi may not have a name you recognize right away, but you’ve surely noticed his work in a few films. He was one of the lucky few to feature in the big screen adaptation of Suzanne Collins‘ coup de maître ‘The Hunger Games‘. He also has ‘Runner Runner‘, ‘The Endless Now‘ and ‘Endless Love‘ to his credit. His star is definitely on the rise in Hollywood.
Okeniyi is ready to take on the next task in his career, battling cyborgs in Paramount and Skydance’s first film in a standalone trilogy – ‘Terminator‘. He will play as Miles Dyson’s son. In ‘Terminator 2: Judgement Day‘, we saw Dyson, played by Joe Morton as the scientist who helped in creating Cyberdyne Systems, the computer system that started the war between the machines and humans. Dyson is killed in that film, but his son is featured for a brief time. We have no new information as to how he will play into the story line in the new trilogy.
He joins already announced cast members Emilia Clarke (‘Game of Thrones’), Jai Courtney (‘A Good Day To Die Hard’ and ‘Spartacus: War of the Damned’), Jason Clarke (‘The Great Gatsby’, ‘Lawless’), J.K. Simmons (‘Spiderman’, ‘Growing Up Fisher’) and the Terminator, himself, Arnold Schwarzenegger. Alan Taylor, who has directed many HBO programs including episodes of ‘Oz’, ‘Sex and the City’, ‘The Sopranos’, ‘Game of Thrones’ and ‘Big Love’, is helming the endeavor.
This will be Schwarzenegger’s first film as The Terminator in 12 years, since “Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines“. Schwarzenegger was replaced by a digital computer graphics version, for the previous film “Terminator Salvation”.
May the odds be ever in his favor.
