Blumhouse is one of my favorite names when it comes to awesome scary movies and that name just popped up on the radar with another film sure to scare even the most stalwart film-goer. This company doesn’t just produce one-off horror flicks, they develop franchises and give us sequels that are every bit as awesome as the originals, some of these are ‘The Purge‘, ‘Ouija‘, ‘Paranormal Activity‘ and the ‘Insidious‘ powerhouse. The latter among these has got another installment headed our way with ‘Insidious: Chapter 4‘.

This film will have one big change-up from the other three stories, co-creator Leigh Whannell has directed the previous three installment will vacate the position for Adam Robitel (‘The Taking of Deborah Logan‘) to step up, the script will still by a Whannell masterpiece.

Universal Pictures and Sony Pictures are working together to produce and release the film with Jason Blum, James Wan and Oren Peli producing. One thing won’t change that has been a staple of the prior releases is Lin Shaye will be in it. She’s a remarkable actress and has a resume a mile long, but no matter what she’s in, she’s always going to be Jam’s chain-smoking mom from 1999’s ‘Detroit Rock City‘ to me. This film is going to be excellent and I only have to wait until October 20, 2017 to find out how great.
