Fox has been casting their live musical of ‘Rocky Horror Picture Show‘ for quite some time now. The network has chosen RHPS for a follow-up to what will likely be a big success when ‘Grease: Live‘ debuts January 31. If you’re curious who’s doing the Time Warp, keep reading.

It’s the weird and wonderful as newly engaged couple Brad and Janet encounter a problem when their car halts in the rain. They both look for contact, only to find themselves at the castle of Dr. Frank-N-Furter, a transvestite. A place to stay is offered, but will Brad and Janet want to remain there? Especially when a large group of Transylvanians dance to the ‘Time Warp’, Dr. Frank-N-Furter builds his own man and a whole host of participation for the audience to enjoy.

Director/choreographer Kenny Ortega is putting together the cast that stars Laverne Cox has signed on to star as the transsexual lynch pin of the story, Dr. Frank-N-Furter, with Victoria Justice and Ryan McCartan signing on as Janet Weiss and Brad Majors. Reeve Carney signed on as Riff Raff and Staz Nair will take on the mantle of Rocky. The latest casting choice is for ‘American Idol’s Adam Lambert, who’s been collaborating with Queen as lead vocalist, to play Eddie.

“I grew up watching ‘Rocky Horror,’ but could never imagine that I would be part of this new vision,” said Lambert. “‘Rocky Horror’ always made me feel like it was OK to celebrate my weirdness. Hallelujah, bless my soul! I love that old time rock-n-roll!”

The two-hour musical airs this fall on Fox.

Tim Curry has agreed to appear in the 1975 movie that made him a star, however, he will not be coming back as Dr. Frank-N-Furter but he will portray the criminologist narrator, originally brought to life by Charles Gray.
