Hi everyone, Bryan Here…
Have you read the young adult books titled ‘Ghostgirl‘? If not, you should. If you have read them, then get excited, because they are going to be adapted into a movie. And none other than Matthew Vaughn will be producing them with an option to direct and write. Vaughn directed excellent films such as ‘Layer Cake‘, ‘Kick-Ass‘, ‘X-Men: First Class‘, and ‘Stardust’.
The ‘Ghostgirl‘ novels were written by Tonya Hurley and center on a high school girl who feels unwanted and invisible. Well, she literally becomes invisible when she dies. Even in death, she struggles to be the popular girl at school. There is no casting yet, but I imagine if this came out a decade ago, Christina Ricci would have been perfect for this role.
I’m looking forward to this project.
