So yes. A couple of years ago they did in fact reboot ‘Friday the 13th‘. You’re not crazy. But we live in a day in age now where Hollywood is remaking remakes. It’s sad and pathetic. That being said, I will take any ‘Friday the 13th‘ movie that is new in the theater. What can I say, I’m a sucker for Jason Vorhees hacking up dumb teens, even in space.

But Paramount and Warner Bros. have done a trade for the rights and properties of the franchise, and now Paramount will now be releasing a new ‘Friday the 13th‘ movie, which will be the actual 13th installment of the machete wielder. And they even have a release date, which of course is when every other movie is coming out  – 2015, specifically March 13, 2015. How fucking cool is that??

We are getting a ‘Friday the 13th’ movie on Friday the 13th, which will the 13th movie. Crazy shit will happen, I know it. Nothing is known about the film yet, be we are hearing there might be a “found footage'” element to it. That could be cool. Exhibitor relations took to their twitter handle to announce the news which said, “Paramount sets FRIDAY THE 13th for March 13, 2015. Not a sequel to the reboot, mind you, another reboot entirely.”
