Hey guys, Jana here,
Jackie Earle Haley is a name you may not know off the top of your head, but I guarantee you’ll recognize his face. He’s been everywhere and he’s signing on to be more places even now! He was in ‘The Bad News Bears‘, the 1976 version with a cranky Walter Matthau, he was in ‘Watchmen‘, he even became a new generation’s Freddy Krueger in ‘A Nightmare on Elm Street‘.
Right now he’s signed on to play another villainous role, something he’s fantastic at, for Amazon’s pilot ‘The Tick‘. And that’s just not enough for Haley, he’s currently in negotiations to co-star in ‘The Dark Tower‘ opposite Idris Elba, Matthew McConaughey.
‘The Tick‘ reboot, is being written and exec produced by original creator Ben Edlund and bringing back the characters we’ve learned to love and unfortunately have missed for so many years. The role for Haley is The Terror, a super villain who is fairly powerful and leads the evil league as far as the comics go.
We’re getting ready to see Haley weekly in a Sony TV adaptation of the cult comic book ‘Preacher‘ on AMC where he will portray Odin Quincannon. The series begins on May 22.
When it comes to ‘The Dark Tower‘, he will play Sayre, a menacing human-like guy who is the leader and is the top dog in everything he does. Get ready to see some awesome from Haley in our cinematic future, small screen and Silver Screen.
