With ‘Walking Dead’s’ season 2 opener destroying viewing records, AMC has given the go ahead on a third season of the zombie series.  “Today we are pleased to announce that the ‘dead’ shall live as we proudly renew The Walking Dead for a third season on AMC and, globally, with our terrific partners at Fox International Channels.”

The second season opener got over 7.3 million viewers.  That’s amazing.  I really do think this show has a lot going for it.  I have been reading the comics ever since they started back in the early 2000’s and it is interesting to see how they are using the book as a guide fro the tv series.  I for one am excited to see some of the characters from the book finally show up on the series.
