David O. Russell has  found a formula that works and he’s sticking to it. That combination is featuring Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper together, throw in Robert De Niro and you have a partial cast list for the foursome’s latest endeavor ‘Joy‘. The group came together successfully in ‘Silver Linings Playbook‘ then minus DeNiro for ‘American Hustle‘. Lawrence won an Academy Award for Silver Linings, so it makes sense to hope for big things from this picture.

‘Joy is the story of struggling single mom Joy Mangano and four generations of her family. Mangano created a family business dynasty and was the inventor of the ‘Miracle Mop’ and their business  is Ingenious Designs, LLC which netted over $1 billion in sales. We see Cooper as an executive at the Home Shopping Network and DeNiro is Mangano’s father. The film is on schedule to be released on December 25, 2015.
