The Tupac Shakur biopic, ‘All Eyez on Me‘ is running full steam ahead with casting choices. The project has already cast Demetrius Shipp Jr. and Jamal Woolard to play Tupac and Biggie, respectively. I’ve got two new casting decisions to tell you about, one part is for Jada Pinkett Smith and Shakur’s mother Afeni Shakur.

Director Benny Boom has tapped Kat Graham (‘The Vampire Diaries‘) to play the part of Pinkett Smith, who was a longtime friend of the rapper. Smith and Tupac first met in high school at the Baltimore School for the Arts.

To that lineup we can also add Danai Gurira of TV’s ‘The Walking Dead‘. Gurira has come aboard to play Tupac’s mother, Afeni Shakur. Afeni remains a very active part of anything that has to do with her son, she’s exec producing the film and is keeper of the flame on her son’s estate. has her work cut out for her to get the complex woman, she is a member of the Black Panthers with a healthy side as a political activist, on screen accurately.
