Enjoy and Here We Go!!
BEVERLY HILLS COP (BLURAY)
One of Eddie Murphy’s first and best feature films to date. He created an iconic character with Axel Foley, the Detroit Police Detective who is excellent at his work. This film still holds up after more than twenty years and is still very funny. Glad it is in Hi-Def. It looks amazing. Definitely an upgrade from the previous releases of the film. The audio however is a let down. It says it is DTS-HD ,but it only seemed to burst sound in Stereo. But it does sound incredible. It’s sharp and clear. I just wish the rear speakers got more use. Definitely worth the upgrade. Looking forward to the sequel on bluray.

THE COMANCHEROS (BLURAY)
This John Wayne film directed by BADASS director Michael Curtiz is one of the top John Wayne films. At least for me. Everything about this movie rocks and it is great to see Lee Marvin and John Wayne tear up the screen. I just love when Wayne loses his cool. This looks amazing on blu-ray. Texas Ranger Jake Cutter arrests gambler Paul Regret, but soon finds himself teamed with his prisoner in an undercover effort to defeat a band of renegade arms merchants and thieves known as Comancheros.

DEEP RED (BLURAY)
FUCK YES! Argento’s Deep Red is on blu-ray. All of the Argento films are gold, but this film and Suspiria for me are at the top of the list. Now just release Suspiria on bluray. Beautiful horror film and scary as hell. A musician witnesses the murder of a famous psychic, and then teams up with a fiesty reporter to find the killer while evading attempts on their lives by the unseen killer bent on keeping a dark secret buried.

DIABOLIQUE (BLURAY CRITERION COLLECTION)
What an excellent thriller horror film. This film pre-dates Psycho and Repulsion and Alfred Hitchcock said that he loved this film which might inspired him to make Psycho. Definitely worth picking up. Plus its a Criterion release so you know it is GOLD. Before Psycho, Peeping Tom, and Repulsion, there was Diabolique. This thriller from Henri‑Georges Clouzot (Le corbeau, The Wages of Fear), which shocked audiences in Europe and the U.S., is the story of two women—the fragile wife and the willful mistress of a sadistic school headmaster—who hatch a daring revenge plot. With its unprecedented narrative twists and unforgettably scary images, Diabolique is a heart-grabbing benchmark in horror filmmaking, featuring outstanding performances by Simone Signoret (Casque d’or, Army of Shadows), Vera Clouzot (The Wages of Fear), and Paul Meurisse (Le deuxième souffle, Army of Shadows).

THE HUSTLER: 50TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION (BLURAY)
One of the best Paul Newman films about a pool shark. Also Jackie Gleason is amazing in this film. This is a no-brainer. You must own it. Nuff’ said. An up-and-coming pool player plays a long-time champion in a single high-stakes match.

DAYDREAM NATION (BLURAY)
A fun little film. Plays out like Heathers and Juno. I have always liked Kat Dennings and she shines in this role. Worth picking up. Tells the story of a city girl who moves to a small town and becomes entangled in a love triangle between her high school teacher and a stoner classmate.

JAGGED EDGE (BLURAY)
Jagged Edge is a pretty good solid film. It was directed by Richard Marquand. That name ring a bell?? He directed Return of the Jedi. This film does not star Han Solo or C3P0 or the Ewoks, but it does star the dude (Jeff Bridges) and Glenn Close. When a wealthy publishing magnate is accused of murdering his heiress wife, a high powered attorney is called in to defend him. She succeeds and the two fall in love. Then she grows suspicious that she helped acquit a guilty man. A good film, but sadly a bare bones release.
THE MECHANIC (BLURAY)
A fun as hell entertaining Jason Statham film. That’s all. Popcorn goodness. Arthur Bishop is a ‘mechanic’ – an elite assassin with a strict code and unique talent for cleanly eliminating targets. It’s a job that requires professional perfection and total detachment, and Bishop is the best in the business. But when his mentor and close friend Harry is murdered, Bishop is anything but detached. His next assignment is self-imposed – he wants those responsible dead.

THE RITE (BLURAY+DVD+DIGITAL COPY)
What seemed like a cool Exorcist type of film really wasn’t. Definitely interesting but not a really good film by any means. Anthony Hopkins is in it, but he seemed bored and uninterested in the whole ordeal. It’s a one time watch movie. Inspired by true events, this supernatural thriller follows a seminary student (Colin O’Donoghue) sent to study exorcism at the Vatican in spite of his own doubts about the controversial practice and even his own faith. Only when sent to apprentice with legendary Father Lucas (Anthony Hopkins), who has performed thousand of exorcisms, does his armor of skepticism begin to fall. Drawn into a troubling case that seems to transcend even Father Lucas’s skill, the young seminarian glimpses a phenomenon science can’t explain or control – and an evil so violent and terrifying that it forces him to question everything he believes.
