I knew about a sequel, but I had no idea it was in production or even was close to having a trailer. Color me surprised as J.J. Abrams and his company Bad Robot have done it again, flying way under the radar to release a sequel to the highly regarded film ‘Cloverfield‘. This sequel is titled ‘10 Cloverfield Lane‘ and has a great cast including John Goodman, Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Scott Pilgrim), and John Gallagher Jr. (Newsroom).
There is no official plot synopsis out yet, but the studio says it is a close “blood relative” to ‘Cloverfield‘ and looks to have a family or group of survivors holed up un a nice underground bunker when things start to go awry. This looks super suspenseful and thrilling and i can’t wait. The film is also directed by Dan Tratchenberg (the ‘Portal‘ short guy) and will be released March 11th of this year.
