If you haven’t been watching ‘Salem‘ on WGN, do yourself a favor and go to Netflix, find the series and put it on your list, NOW! You can thank me later, order some pizza, grab a bottle of wine and binge watch that mother! I can’t even tell you how enthralling it is, I keep telling myself just one more episode and before I know it, it’s 4am and I still don’t want to turn it off.

Set in the volatile world of 17th century Massachusetts, ‘Salem’ explores what really fueled the town’s infamous witch trials and dares to uncover the dark, supernatural truth hiding behind the veil of this infamous period in American history. In Salem, witches are real, but they are not who or what they seem. The first season saw so many different things that set my skin crawling when thinking of witches. One of the greatest things the show has to offer us is Shane West in all his bare-chested glory, truly a thing of beauty.

WGN has given us a trailer for the second season which will feature some new cast regulars in Lucy Lawless (‘Xena: Warrior Princess‘, ‘Spartacus‘) and Stuart Townsend (‘The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen‘). Lawless is Countess Marburg, a witch descended from a line of ancient German witches, while Townsend plays English doctor Samuel Wainwright. Check out the trailer set against one hell of a creepy lullaby and get a taste of the upcoming witch-wars. I’m beyond stoked for this season beginning Sunday, April 5, bring it on!!
