Hey guys, Jana here,
Have you ever had that moment where you’re binge-watching the latest season of ‘Orange Is The New Black‘ on Netflix and had to leave the house to go somewhere with no internet access to be bored blind? The whole time you’re thinking if I just had the internet I’d totally know what’s happening at Litchfield right now?! Of course you have, well I have too and it appears we’re not the only ones because Netflix is introducing a download option for offline viewing! Yippee!
Now don’t go thinking you can download all 7 seasons of ‘Gilmore Girls‘ and the new four-part reunion episodes, ( I mean you HAVE watched them, right? Of course you have.) The streamer is only offering a limited number of series right now that are capable of being downloaded. They began with their original series ‘Orange Is The New Black‘, ‘Narcos‘, and ‘The Crown‘. This is a pretty big deal seeing how Netflix has subscribers that number in the millions, 87 of them to be exact. Every single account will have the option to stream or download their content at no extra cost.
Right now we’ve got access to download just a few series but they are working on adding more titles, not just series, but movies as well. Some of us in the states with lightning internet speeds don’t really see the value in being able to download content, but in other countries where connection is incredibly sloth-like, this is huge. The download feature is available for all phones and tablets on both Android and iOS.
