If you’ve missed ‘The Big Lebowski‘, get ready for ‘Going Places‘! It’s a spinoff of the Coen Brothers‘ hit film from 1998 and was written by, directed by, and starring John Turturro. What character could he be playing other than “the Jesus”?! We’ve got your first peek at Turturro from the new film!

Jesus Quintana broke out of ‘The Big Lebowski‘ when Jeff Bridges, John Goodman and Steve Buscemi played against him on a bowling league. Turturro was magnificent in the role and is responsible for a lot of the trash talk you hear in a bowling alley on any given day of the week, at least when I’m playing. I dance backwards and call myself “the Jesus”, but I do NOT lick the ball. I can’t get that far into it.

The film follows three misfits with a careless attitude and spontaneous outlook on their lives. They make a mistake and get on the wrong side of good with a hairdresser who’s packing more than just hairspray. Of course the group is looking to escape that craziness. The spinoff stars Susan Sarandon, Bobby Cannavale and Audrey Tautou and the first of fall saw the film officially start rolling film.
