Goddamn, I’m so excited.  Paramount Pictures has just announced it will release the first 9 minutes from the highly anticipated sequel to JJ Abrams’ ‘Star Trek’, title ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’.  This will be shown exclusively in IMAX 3D theaters around the country and take note this is being shown 5 months prior to its release date in May of 2013.

This will sneak before Peter Jackson’s epic trilogy ‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’.  ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ used those amazing IMAX cameras to film several scenes, so you know this is just going to rock.  ”The footage is absolutely incredible,” said Greg Foster, Chairman and President, IMAX Filmed Entertainment.  The cast and crew have returned for the ‘Star Trek’ sequel, so all is well with the world. I can’t wait.
