Hi everyone, Bryan Here…

Big-Movie

Hollywood is remaking one of the best comedies ever to grace the big screen. Kevin Biegel and Mike Royce are remaking the hit and iconic film from 1988 ‘Big‘ that starred Tom Hanks. Fox is the studio behind this and describes the project as an event series based on the movie that explores what it means to be an adult and what it means wot be a kid – and how in today’s modern world, those two aspects are more confused than ever.

Biegel and Royce, who recently teamed up for Fox’s military comedy ‘Enlisted‘ will write the script together as well as produce the half hour comedy and will be an ongoing series. So we shouldn’t expect a remake in the form of going to the theaters and seeing a movie, but a remake in the fashion that this will be new comedy series on Fox.

The original film was made by Penny Marshall and launched Tom Hanks to super stardom. It centered around a young kid who made a wish at a fortuneteller coin machine called Zoltar, that turned him into a big person or adult. It made over $151 million at the box office and is hailed as one of the greats in cinema. It even has one of the most iconic scenes in film history, which you can see below.

I’m not quite to keen on this being remade, but I’ll give anything a shot at least once. Fox is in the game now of remaking films into tv series, as they have ‘Minority Report‘ scheduled to be a tv series now too.
