Cartoon Network has just inked a deal with producers Don Murphy and Susan Montford who have just come off the ‘Transformers:Dark of the Moon’ film and are finishing up their work on the giant Hugh Jackman Robot boxing film ‘Real Steel’ to bring the somewhat classic cartoon ‘Captain Planet’ to the big screen in a live action adaptation.

Captain Planet is known world wide and is mostly a joke these days.  The producers said the plan on making a series of films with these characters.  My mind seriously has been blown.  I cannot fathom one live action film, let alone a series of films based on this character.  I may be proven wrong, but I’m definitely laughing at the possibility.
