Hi everyone, Bryan here….
A few days ago, Jason Bateman announced on Twitter that he had signed a deal for the long awaited 5th season of Arrested Development on Netflix. Today, it’s announced that the entire cast and crew have signed on to come back to reprise their roles in one of the funniest television shows to ever grace the small screen. Michael Cera, Jeffrey Tambor, Jessica Walter, Will Arnett, Tony Hale, Portia de Rossi, David Cross and Alia Shawkat, and Bateman will be coming back, along with show creator Mitch Hurwitz. Netflix doesn’t have an exact date yet, but it will premiere sometime in 2018.
What do we remember about season 4? Well, Lindsay Bluth is running for office on the Republican side and wants to put up a big wall between Mexico and the USA, which is hitting close to home that a certain person is in office. Also, Buster was arrested for murder, which they might to the serial murder gimmick that is so popular these days. There are so many great scenarios that can play out here and I’m sure it will be fantastic.
“In talks with Netflix we all felt that that stories about a narcissistic, erratically behaving family in the building business — and their desperate abuses of power — are really underrepresented on TV these days,” said Hurwitz. “I am so grateful to them and to 20th TV for making this dream of mine come true in bringing the Bluths, George Sr., Lucille and the kids; Michael, Ivanka, Don Jr., Eric, George-Michael, and who am I forgetting, oh Tiffany. Did I say Tiffany? — back to the glorious stream of life.”
