Hi, Bryan Here….

Ole Bornedal is bringing the world a new possession film, and the movie poster and trailer definitely have merit.  At least it’s not one of those found footage films either.  The synopsis says: “A young girl buys an antique box at a yard sale, unaware that inside the collectible lives a malicious ancient spirit. The girl’s father teams with his ex-wife to find a way to end the curse upon their child.”  So, I guess I’m not buying anything creepy at a yard sale from now on.

Hi, Bryan Here….

Ron Burgundy sent out a tweet today that said, ”Anchorman 2 teaser w Dictator tom night. Dont know what a teaser is. World is crazy? Having a scotch.”  My review is coming soon for ‘The Dictator’ and releases tomorrow.  Expect that ‘Anchorman 2′ trailer to be in front of it.  I do know that ’Anchorman 2′  will debut in 2014.  That seems like a long ways off, but with little teases like this, it will be worth the wait.  And by the way, definitely see ‘The Dictator’!

Hi, Bryan Here…

The third trailer for the Amazing Spider-Man is live, and I think it’s the best one yet.  It shows a bunch of action sequences and bit of the Lizard in action.  I like the story line they’re sticking with in this reboot, which is Peter Parker’s parents.  The cast is outstanding, and it looks like Andrew Garfield will be the better Spider-Man.  Enjoy and look for this on the Avengers prints this weekend.  Enjoy.

Hi, Bryan Here….

‘Beasts of the Southern Wild’ looks really interesting.  The story follows Hushpuppy, an intrepid six-year-old girl, lives with her father, Wink, in “the Bathtub,” a southern Delta community at the edge of the world. Wink’s tough love prepares her for the unraveling of the universe; for a time when he’s no longer there to protect her. When Wink contracts a mysterious illness, nature flies out of whack-temperatures rise, and the ice caps melt, unleashing an army of prehistoric creatures called aurochs. With the waters rising, the aurochs coming, and Wink’s health fading, Hushpuppy goes in search of her lost mother.  Check out the trailer below.

Hi, Bryan Here…

Here is the three minute International Trailer for Ridley Scott’s upcoming ‘Prometheus’ film.  Some of the footage is stuff we’ve seen before, but there is quite a bit of new footage to keep you all on the edge of your seat.  I’m so excited for this film.  ”The third official international trailer for Ridley Scott’s ‘Prometheus’ starring Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender and Charlize Theron. A team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a journey to the darkest corners of the universe. Hi, Bryan Here….

Here is a much better trailer for the Apatow produced ‘The Five Year Engagement’.  The film is directed by Nicholas Stoller and stars Jason Segel, Emily Blunt, Alison Brie, and Kevin Hart.  Stoller directed Segel in ‘Forgetting Sarah Marshall’.  Synopsis: Beginning where most romantic comedies end, the new film from director Nicholas Stoller, producer Judd Apatow (Knocked Up, The 40-Year-Old Virgin) and Rodney Rothman (Get Him to the Greek) looks at what happens when an engaged couple, Jason Segel and Emily Blunt, keeps getting tripped up on the long walk down the aisle.  Enjoy the trailer.

Hi, Bryan Here…

The day after soon-to-be valedictorian Henry Burke (Matt Bush) takes a hit of the chronic for the first time, his school principal (Michael Chiklis) institutes a zero tolerance drug policy and administers a mandatory drug test for all students. Henry has two options: fail and lose his college scholarship, or team up with his stoner friend Breaux (Sean Marquette) to beat the system. They steal a high powered ganja from law student-turned-drug-dealer Psycho Ed (Adrien Brody) and spike the school’s bake sale brownies, getting the whole school “faculty included” completely stoned out of their minds. But with the student body getting higher and higher with every brownie, and a pissed-off Psycho Ed on their tails for stealing his stash, they must find a way to keep their half-baked plan from going up in smoke.

Movie Quotes

The Pursuit of Happyness (2006)
Chris Gardner:
It was right then that I started thinking about Thomas Jefferson on the Declaration of Independence and the part about our right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. And I remember thinking how did he know to put the pursuit part in there? That maybe happiness is something that we can only pursue and maybe we can actually never have it. No matter what. How did he know that?
