This is the brand new trailer for ‘The Wolverine‘ starring Hugh Jackman. This trailer should be in front of most prints of ‘Fast and Furious 6‘ this weekend, so be sure to look out for that. The film will be in 3D and is directed by James Mangold (‘Copland‘, ‘3:10 To Yuma‘). This is also a prequel to the whole X-Men series and will focus a bit on Logan’s time in Japan, which is a fan favorite in the comics. In this trailer, we get a big look at that side of the story. The film opens July 26th and I hope it’s a bit better than the previous film.

Hi, Bryan Here….

Well at the ABC UpFront presentation today, Joss Whedon showcased a long trailer for the ABC upcoming series ’Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘, which will focus on the agents and other superheros from the Marvel universe, which I bet will tie in loosely with the next ‘Avengers’ film. The series will air in the Fall on Tuesdays at the 8pm time slot. I cannot wait for this.  The trailer looks amazing. And yes, COULSON LIVES!!!

Boomstick is partnering up this weekend with the amazing LOOK Cinemas in Addison, TX for some amazing prizes and free movie passes for the highly anticipated ‘Iron Man 3‘ film. This weekend also happens to be the annual FREE COMIC BOOK DAY, which select comic book stores across the nation giveaway FREE comic books. Boomstick will be giving away free comics at LOOK Cinemas on Saturday May 4th from 11AM-2PM.

Hi, Bryan Here….

With ‘Iron Man 2‘ proving to be less than stellar back in 2010, this third sequel of the Marvel hero returns with a much needed boost of attitude and character that takes us through many twists and turns and tons of new Iron Man suits. This can be considered a sequel to both 2010′s ‘Iron Man‘ and Joss Whedon’s ‘The Avengers‘. Director Shane Black tosses away much of the wham-bam action scenes and focuses on the quick witted humor and our hero’s internal struggle with crippling panic attacks. I have no doubt this will be a fan favorite of the franchise and will light up the box office something fierce for the next two weekends.

Hi, Bryan Here….

Here is a Japanese trailer for the upcoming ‘Wolverine‘ film titled ‘The Wolverine‘. It showcases a tiny bit of new footage that we haven’t seen from previous trailers. This looks loads better than the previous ‘Wolverine‘ effort already. James Mangold is directing this sequel, which is not as appetizing as Darren Aronofsky directing, but that is long in the past. Mangold did ‘3:10 to Yuma‘, which was great, so let’s hope for something that spectacular, but Wolvy Berserk style. Snikt!

Hi, Bryan Here….

Here is the first trailer for the sequel to Marvel’s ‘Thor‘ titled ‘Thor: The Dark World‘. It seems like Marvel is going for an edgier and darker tone with this one. We’ve heard rumors this was the direction it was going, and after viewing the trailer, I can confirm that things get pretty gritty.  Alan Taylor is directing this 2nd installment and I have complete trust that he will do a fine job judging by his credits.

ABC and Josh Whedon (Marvel’s Avengers and Buffy the Vampire Slayer) have announced that their new drama, Marvels S.H.I.E.L.D, will be called Marvels Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. This one hour show will follow Agent Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) returning to S.H.I.E.L.D. He puts together a team of agents to tackle new and strange cases. The team will be made up of Agent Grant Ward (Brett Dalton), Agent Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen), Agent Leo Fitz (Iain de Caestecker) and Agent Jenna Simmons(Elizabeth Henstridge).

Marvel Entertainment announced that they will now have digital initiatives that will link Marvel’s film, animation, comics, and web with reality, documentaries, and news anchored by “Marvel’s Eight Mightiest Show”.  Marvel is bringing in G4’s Blair Butler will host it covering movies, video games, and celebrity interviews.

Yes, there is more ‘X-Men‘ news.  It seems that every actor in Hollywood is joining Bryan Singer’s new ‘X-Men‘ film. Now we hear that Halle Berry will reprise her role as Storm in ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past‘. She joins her old cast-mates, Anna Paquin, Shawn Ashmore, Hugh Jackman, Ellen Page, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, and the recently joined Omar Sy.

Hi, Bryan Here…

Actor Chris Cooper has just signed on to play Norman Osborn in the sequel to Marc Webb’s ‘The Amazing Spider-Man‘. Cooper joins the villains Electro (Jamie Foxx) and Rhino (Paul Giamatti) to fight Spidey this time. As of right now, we don’t know for sure if Cooper will turn into a villain in this film, but rest-assured, it will happen either at the very end or in the third sequel.
